Wonder if he'll upload it! Seems like they missed an opportunity to put the unreleased track on the WTSMG reissue

Wow. Thanks for sharing the link! Just guessing really, but it could be a cassette copy of when Noel played tracks from BHN acoustically, during the Rockfield Studios tracking session for Morning Glory. Owen Morris mentions in his article for the official Oasis magazine that he has a DAT copy of that performance. Then again, these probably wouldn't have been labelled as demos. But equally this cassette could easily be from a totally unknown demo session. There's also a demo session from a year later mentioned by Paolo Hewitt in Getting High, in which he says Noel taped six or so tracks with Owen (prior to Mustique) for future use. None of the tracks are named there btw.

Didn't Brian Cannon sold some items to fans along the years? I might be wrong but I think he has.

I wonder how much survives in terms of the acoustic run-throughs that Noel recorded for the band prior to the main recording sessions.
Bonehead mentions in his June 2005 interview for MOJO that, prior to album recording sessions, he'd receive a CD in the post from Noel containing acoustic versions of the tracks to be recorded. I guess those CDs might contain unheard tracks.

Brian Cannon says there's an unheard song on there, along with six versions of Wonderwall and "loads more".
Someone on Facebook has offered him £10,000 for it - he's accepted the offer, unless he gets a higher one in the near future.
He's sent lyrics and a clip to Brian (oasisDNA), who has apparently confirmed that it's completely unheard.
Someone has chipped in to say he also has a copy of this. (EDIT: I previously thought this person was Paul Gallagher, but it's not!)
I must say I think Brian Cannon's comment "Wait till you hear this!!" is a little unfair.
We all know what's going to happen - he'll sell it to the highest bidder - this guy on Facebook, or oasisDNA, or Britpop Store Rob, or someone else - who will never share it with the community.

Well, another lost treasure we'll have to wait 20 years to hear. People can do whatever they want with their money but I just think it's best if they deal this kind of things on private.

No way that guy comes up with 10 grand. He works at a supermarket.
We should be pooling our resources together immediately.

I'm incredibly pissed off not just because yet another Oasis rarity that we may never hear again has just slipped between our fingers, but because we should have gotten every single track on that tape, all six versions of Wonderwall, on the Morning Glory reissue.
Take another look at disc 3 of the boxset. Can you believe how incredibly half-assed that tracklist is? They had unheard songs and multiple early versions of Oasis' most recognizable song yet they chose to include a bunch of fucking live tracks that everyone has heard before. There's little doubt in my mind that there are tens of Untitled's and If We Shadows's in the vault. Why not get them out there for the fans to hear? I'm glad that management started to listen for BHN, but that doesn't change what already happened.
Let's just hope that the tracks on this tape surface on an Anthology in the next few years.

Yeah I agree. WTSMG reissue was a wasted opportunity. The only thing I would say is they may have genuinely forgotten about this unreleased track as Cannon says. What a waste if this tape ends up disappearing and we never hear it, so disappointing, especially with the excitement of Cannons Instagram post.

I thought Cannon had more class than to dangle a carrot in front of our noses, actually rub it in our faces like a natural born pornstar, and continue to say "wait till you hear this OMG Stop The Clocks part two epic instant classic OMG"... Just to sell it to highest bidder.
Come on man, do The Right Stuff and upload it to YouTube.

Couldn't he get in trouble selling it? Especially now that the has recently worked in an Oasis related project.

Is the £10k a serious offer? If so that's a ridiculous amount of money.
If anyone is able to get a genuine price of him I'm sure the online community would come together like we have previously for the Noel demos, Comin' On Strong, God Help Us All soundcheck etc.
If a collector is looking at putting a bid then they could consider opening it up to the community, let us contribute towards the cost, we get a rip of the songs and they get to keep the tape itself for their collection, everyone wins.

What are the chances this "unheard song" is If We Shadows or Untitled?

Obviously if the 10k offer is legit then we have no chance.

Great idea. I'm all in anyway. Is anyone with a more reasonable english than myself willing to contact him with a serious inquiry and an explanation of what this would be about? I'm sure he'd rather see it in the hands of the Oasis community than the tape being forever hidden on the shelf of some private hoarder, as long as the price is alright. That being said, I'm not quite convinced he's actually willing to sell it.

Reading through the FB comments it's hard to say whether Brian is taking the £10k offer seriously or is taking the piss.
From the little I know of him, he doesn't strike me as the sort of person who'd do that tbh. Can't imagine his mates in the band and management would be too impressed.

But what exactly did he mean by saying "wait 'til you hear this"? I really hope he's at least going to post some detailed description of the tape's content after teasing us. Admittedly, he only teased his private Facebook followship instead of revealing it on Twitter but he surely must have anticipated this would get noticed somewhere else. The glorious company that is Ignition has probably made him an offer already. For the outtakes not to be included in the next Morning Glory reissue.

He put it on Instagram so definitely posted it publically. His FB posts are also public. You don't need to be friends with him to see them. He has 5000 friends anyway, so hardly a private account. Unless he's very naive he must have realised he was posting this publically.
