Noel said last night in Atlanta about Chris "he used to be in Oasis." I thought that was interesting as he never seemed to be an official member?

Great to see Sharrock drumming with Noel again. Stacey is a good studio drummer, and his work on ITHOTM is a great example of that, but live I've never felt his style really suited Noel's music. Or to put it in another way: he drums the same way on too many of the songs. His style may suit Freaky Teeth for example, but when he bashes away loud and hard on a ballad it takes you a little bit out of it. Sharrock is more dynamic in his drumming IMO, and knows when a song needs a more gentle touch. He adapts pretty well to whatever song he plays on. Can go crazy and drum the hell out of a fast rock song, but also goes for a more mild approach on ballads. The keyword I think, is adapting. Sharrock adapts to the song he's playing. Stacey kinda dominates a song when he plays on it. When I hear Noel perform a song I want to be able to focus on the song, to think to myself "what a nice melody, Noel sounds great here, the band sounds good as well, love this song" etc. When I listen to a live performance by NGHFB with Jeremy on, I notice him a little bit too much and often. Not as a great integrated part of the band performance, but something that doesn't matches the rest of the band and the song they're playing. Something that takes you out of it. You do realize he is drumming with King Crimson, right. He is by far and away the better drummer compared to Chris.fuck outta here.

I think Chris would've been official if Oasis recorded one more álbum. IIRC it was offered the oficial posición to Zak but didnt agreed because of The Who touring schedule.

At least...he was tonight at the gig in Nashville, TN.
Don't know what happened to Jeremy Stacey. And I don't know if this is temporary or permanent.

He's the only man to have been in both The La's and Oasis, two of the greatest bands of all time. That's quite an achievement.

IIRC he left due to not being able to commit to such an intense schedule due to family obligations, which tallies with a 2009 interview he did for Music Radar in which he stated The full interview including briefly stating he quit over 'commitment issues' is here- Music Radar- Zak Starkey

You do realize he is drumming with King Crimson, right. He is by far and away the better drummer compared to Chris. I'm not ok with you continuously coming on here and talking down to people, especially when you're the same fucking guy who asks Brian Cannon and Owen Morris about the Mustique demos like a little fanboy on Facebook like most of the people here. Now go take a pic of yourself listening to pretentious music with your headphones on and post it again, you fucking clown. Thanks. Thanks for the support man . It's not fun to spend time on writing and trying to put together a well-thought-out post when the response pretty much translates to "you must be stupid because I disagree with your opinion". Because you got my back on this I will unload your dishwasher for free. Unless it is a metaphor for something completely different, in that case I'll just simply state that your hair is on point today.

Now, if we can just swap Gem in for Tim, we'll have a great band going.

I'm guessing Chris has finally come down after the high of being involved with the mighty Beady Eye. That was obviously one big gig for him.

Shame Noel and Alan are on bad terms. Alan would have been the perfect drummer for the High Flying Birds. The first album, for instance, would be so much better if he was playing on it.

Im not sure alan even plays drums anymore does he? he probably wouldve been ok I guess, think chris is probably the best option at this time, I always liked alans brother on the 2001 tour, I doubt he would've played with oasis after the issues with alan but wouldve certainly preferred him over zak starky (never fitted imo)
