I want Liam`s bravery back. I was waiting for the movie soundtrack made by Beady Eye and their third record they already started writing for.... Imagine them continuing .... after songs like Flick of the finger and Soul love.... third album could have been awesome, cause that would have been the first where thy would have distanced themselves completely from oasis I think. They just started writing together....

Because...why not? I think that DGSS is a great album. Minus three complete duds (Beatles and Stones, Kill for a Dream, and SOTEOTN), the songs are good, the production is fantastic, and Liam's vocals are the best he's done since BHN. In fact, the production and Liam are what makes the songs much better than they otherwise would be. If DGSS had HC production, it would've been beyond unlistenable. There's always someone, somewhere with a big nose, who knows.... And Beady Eye are proper shite, like.

I would call BDI my "guilty pleasure" except whenever I hear Four Letter Word, I feel zero percent guilt.

I have this feeling that live4eva 's liking of Tay-Tay and your liking of Beady Eye probably have very different reasoning behind them

'Wigwam' and 'Off At The Next Exit' are two of the greatest songs from either Gallagher brothers IMO. On the other hand, 'Face The Crowd' and 'Beatles & Stones' are rubbish.

Who was the complete idiot who made Bring the Light the first sampling we had of BDI? Seriously, radio is not gonna play a song that is half "baby c'mon!!" Writing was already on the wall at the start. Sad.

Liam was back to peak coolness just before BE came out. Awesome hair, awesome shades, and, until he did a full band show, awesome voice, it seemed. And then along came Liza Ghorbani with her child bearing Liam's "rockstar genes," and we got a return of the constantly angry, druggy dunderhead Liam of around 2009 that everyone knows and hates.

Bubble with a bullet is really great it sure is! i keep forgetting about this one. it's so easy to overlook because it's a b-side but one of their best imo.

What's there is truly very good (has a kind of Faces feel to it IMO) but it just kind of ends, like they didn't know what to do with it. It feels like its missing something, a good solo or clever middle bit. But I'm very happy I got to hear it live.

They shouldn't have played any Oasis songs not written by any of them. They could have played it, if Liam didn't say at te begin that they were gonna be bigger than Oasis. Noel was the one who left after all. Noel wrote those songs. You're not going to start a new band and say how you're better and a different band, and how you don't need your brother, and then proceed to play (quite a few too) songs that your brother wrote. They didn't play a single Oasis song Liam, Andy or Gem wrote. There's something about that that's a bit sad. If they wanted to be taken seriously as a new band and show the world they weren't "just Oasis minus Noel" they should have played their own material.

They didn't play any Oasis songs on the first tour and played just two on the second tour. That doesn't invalidate the rest of the gig or prevent you taking them seriously.
The only people who seemed to have a problem with it are super fans here. People actually paying the money to see them mostly loved it by the look of it.
