Noel Gallagher be like this to Beady Eye: He still owes us the bodypopping dance he promised when Oasis made it onto TOTP ...

The World's Not Set in Stone just gave me goosebumps.
Liam's voice still like no other.
Fucking Yeah Yeah Yeah.

I love how the description of this section still says "Liam Gallagher's new band Beady Eye"

Even thought it was a joke from Liam, "Lay Off My Avocado, Baby" would be a way cooler title than "BE".

you still got it! *clap clap clapclapclap* you still got it! Love Beady Eye's version of Gimme Shelter. Musically good & Liams' snarl sounds very good on it.

beady eye were proper underrated, BE certainly, nicely balanced album that possibly needed more of a central direction as it looses its spacey production half way through somewhat.
they just lacked the big tunes to get them noticed with some massive choruses, I still believe had BE been the first out the gate they would still be around, BE vs HFB 1 wouldnt of been too far apart.
DGSS was ok just too rushed and the production is like HC (not good)

Too many bland tracks. Too retro in sound. Based solely on the music, I'd say Beady Eye got all the love they deserved. I agree that BE was a better album as a whole, but it really is irrelevant after the dreadful DGSS.

I can't remember a single melody from DGSS. Half of the songs on there are worse than Little James (!). I think I'd prefer Ballad of the Mighty I over any tunes from DGSS, and that says a lot (in my case).

I don't know that I'd go as far as to say it's all worse than 'Little James' but I do agree with the premise. Most of the album is forgettable. And the "high" points are at best filler tracks on an Oasis record or b-sides.

Almost half of it. Beatles & Stones, Wigwam, Bring The Light. The Beat Goes On and The Morning Son are on the same level. For Anyone as well. Maybe not all worse than Little James but at same level. Only Four Letter Word and The Roller are miles better but still not songs I listen to at all. The second album was better but what I really like is the bonus tracks (Evil Eye, Off at the Next Exit). These are really good songs and showed promises for Beady Eye's future. Sadly, we all know how it has ended...

If beady eye had continued with songs of this calibre I'd happily have kept buying their music indefinitely. I really like all these songs. Liam sounds great on all of them.

It won't be long before this thread is populated by a few people pointing out how much they don't like Beady Eye. Which seems a good use of time.

I'd predict your right as it's been the same for 5 years now.. same comments cycling around and around and around.. if you don't like something cool.. we all like different stuff for different reasons.. Doesn't mean any one is right or wrong everyone entitled to their own opinions.. Discussion obv what it's all about but is sad when people have to look good by trying to make people look bad.
