Does anyone else have a feeling from those first few gigs that he's trying hard to step up his game? I mean, he sounds great as he was, but doesn't look like a pissed off cat most of the time, he's more focused on getting it all right. I tend to think that all the flak he got from Liam about One Love Manchester and the prospect of his younger brother having an album that can be a potential hit must have crossed Noel's mind at one point, so he's giving it his absolute best on stage to garner some good press. Or maybe he's just making use of his well rested voice I think so. Plus, having Gem and Sharrock on board again means a lot to Noel i guess. He seems happier.

I enjoyed Noel's set last night. It was my 4th time seeing him solo. He sounded great even with the same set list and it was great to see Gem and Chris playing again.

Wow man, great Noel's covers. As you have a similar raspy Liam tone, it shows how more powerful these songs would be with Liams voice;-) Thanks very much mate. Glad you liked it!

If Noel could drag Gem to somewhere in Canada that would be perfect, I missed my chance on him signing my Heavy Stereo stuff when Beady Eye was here.

New cover, had to completely remove the capo to sing it but still think it sounds ok.

Noel's versions of "Wonderwall" and "Champagne Supernova" wouldn't be out of place in the Billboard country charts. Maybe a collab with Garth Brooks or Dolly Parton is on the cards?

So Noel's bringing out a more experimental sound for his new album, eh? I hope he won't do the same thing he did with AA and throw it in the trash thinking: "Fucking hell, I won't let anyone hear this shit!"

Awful Anybody bought this? The visuals of Noel's solo career (album covers, posters, t-shirts, sundry merchandising) has been dreadful. I wonder whether he doesn't care or he has deplorable taste & thinks this is OK.

Gossips will say that the quality of the artworks follows the quality of the music, but actually they wouldn't be that wrong.

He's still alive. Someone should mention that to Noel.

What a fucking tune this is. His best solo output to date. Unequivocally.

I wonder where Gas Panic got his from, maybe some other website that's cheaper.

Or try discogs, Derrick. Even my cousin sent me BHN Japanese 3 CD set as a gift last year (and it was the gift from her for me), I had to pay 19 Euro for tax. Never had to pay the tax before.

I haven't been following that closely - it's hard to keep up when your heart still bleeds Oasis, like.
But are Gem and Chris permanent members now of NGHFB? And if so, did either play on the new album at all?
(I sure as fuck hope so, the guitarist and drummer were both shocking).

My thought of the day is that I will prob be an asshole for saying this but I just listened to the preview of Noels new album but am I crazy when Noel says he dont like alot of his old stuff because its over produced and has way to much to it? If im correct with that statement then WTH happen with this new album? That may be the most over produced over done stuff I have ever heard. Guess Noel forgot what he has said about his own work 1000 times. Now heres where I save this and say that I like that over produced stuff but its really an odd move or am I wrong?

I think he only ever talks about the production of Be Here Now as over-produced. And on that one, I think he sees it as them not making the right production decisions more than it being overly produced. If that makes any sense.

I guess that is all I have heard him complain about over and over and it still dont make sense to me why he hates it so much. I have heard his explanations but still seems weird to be that unhappy with your own work (Maybe BHN was just the cocaine talking )

One thing is for sure. This time, we can't blame the producer or lack of one. Holmes knows what he's doing. This is the direction and music that Noel wants to do.
On a side note, as flawed as the Sardy productions could be, it's not like Noel was some inexperienced artist pushed around by the producer of a big time record company. I get the impression that he's a very controlling person with his music. He could have pushed back or got better engineering for those albums. Producers and musicans fight all the time. When making Time Out Of Mind, apparently Dylan and Daniel Lanois had near violent disputes on the sound they were creating...
