Haven't listened to NGHFB or CY in a long time. The only songs I go back to and still enjoy are: The Death of You and Me, The Dying of the Light, Freaky Teeth and While the Song Remains the Same. The rest is forgettable imo.
I hope Liam's 'success' will bring the best out of Noel in the studio AND live.

Noel should stop giving only 75% & put out the extra 25% instead of saving it for the afterparty which no one cares about, so that the High Flying Birds rock more. That's why I miss Liam mostly, if anything Liam brought energy in the band. |

Jim O'Rourke should mix Noel's new album. The man's a production genius. Listen to Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, Insignificance, Ys, or any other albums with his fingerprints. Crystal clear, dynamic, and detailed. Would be a great way to make up for the turbid mess that is HFB.

Most likely High Flying Birds again I'd say. Plus if he suddenly released it under the name "Noel Gallagher", journalists would be adamant this is in reaction to Liam releasing an album under his own name, & I don't think Noel wants anything the press could use to fuel the rivalry between him & Liam, especially given that their albums will be released within a month from each other.

Over here radio dj's almost always refer to "*title* by Noel Gallagher" instead of "*title* by Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds" though.
