I love the b sides and vonus trscks, but the good rebel, more than the actual album tracks. Especially with the first record.
And I have 5 minutes every day where I start out of the blue to rhink about how mich I hate noels lazyness with setlists. Such a wonderful songwriter but come on....

I think that I prefer Faster Than the Speed of Magic above NGHFB. Noel's voice works better with acoustic tracks / stripped down songs. It really amazes me how much better some songs are in the demo version.

I need some help... Please name the 5 best Noel boots. All responses are greatly appreciated. The dvd is the greatest one of the first tour, the one on Brazil where he plays Let the Lord shine a Light on me is great. For the second one I would guess the webstream of that gig in France would be it. Noel havent changed that much the sets from one gig to the other. México gigs would have to been in consideración because of Listen Up.

I need some help... Please name the 5 best Noel boots. All responses are greatly appreciated. The BBC gig from last December is definitely essential. Its about the only time we've actually got a nice surprise from Noel in a live capacity in the HFB era. The acoustic show where he supported himself at the Royal Albert Hall was also fantastic and is worth having. Also December 2015. Generally speaking however the Noel bootlegs aren't really worth having. Same gig every night and all that. Very boring.

I need some help... Please name the 5 best Noel boots. All responses are greatly appreciated. As you know Noel's regular gigs are very samey so it's hard to choose the best ones from the two tours. For that reason the choice here is based on best audio quality available/best mixing etc. 1) 2011-12-06 - Casino de Paris (probably my favorite boot from the first tour, great quality, great gig) or2012-09-12 - iTunes Festival 2012 (includes LTLSALOM and the choir) 2) 2014-11-24 - BBC Radio 4 Mastertapes (only four songs, acoustic+piano, fabulous performances!) 3) 2015-02-02 - The Dome, London (warm-up gig of the CY tour. First ever performances of Riverman, BOTMI, etc) 4) 2015-07-12 - T in the Park, Scotland (the 12 songs broadcast by BBC are in superb quality. Best performance of the acoustic Champagne Supernova, imho. The choir sounds great on it.) 5) 2015-12-07 - In Concert with Jo Whiley, BBC Radio 2 (acoustic gig, definitely a must-have)

As for festivals I think he killed it at Lowlands this year.
Also think the Amsterdam gig from April was great, but I'm obviously biased.

I think Noel's strength is psychedelic rock. I'm listening to DOYS songs and they sound fucking amazing.
The Right Stuff is also really great.

Look at all those electric keyboards! Noel letting his prog-rock side show?

The Mexican grew on me, cool tune. It's a proper boppin' T. Rex groove. I like it. I think a lot of people (me included!) took against it, unfairly, when it came out, because of its silly title, and Noel outing it as 'filler' from before the album even came out; but I think it's pretty good. Definitely still filler, but compared to some of the dross Noel's allowed on albums, over the last 15 years, it's does a job and it does it well. Having said all that though, the drums are still rubbish, and I'll be very glad to see Jeremy Stacey no longer there, for future Noel releases.

Found "Chasing Yesterday" on the music section of the library I like to go. Felt extremely happy about it. Then I saw the price tag.

I much prefer Chasing Yesterday over Noel's debut. I'm listening to it right now and finding myself thinking the same thing. The debut was a solid effort, a pretty good album with some terrific tracks but CY features some of the best work Noel's done IMO: Riverman, BOTMI, The Right Stuff, WTSRTS, and You Know We Cant go Back. It's got some decent (but still more ordinary) tunes in TDOTL, LATD, and X Ray Eyes. I don't dislike The Mexican but I'm not that keen on it either. And ITHOTM would be somewhere between the first and second group. My appreciation for it has grown the most of all the songs in the 'bottom half'. The only thing that is disappointing is not the songs themselves but live, they never got the chance to fully come into their own cos they didn't get played. How sad that X Ray Eyes never got the stripped down treatment live (like the bside demo) - its a song that really lets Noel's ease for melody show. And an acoustic version of LATD would showcase a very different approach to the song. I'm glad BOTMI eventually made it back in the set but how sad it got chopped so early on at first. And with the stale setlist and Noel seemingly not 'into it' for much of the tour, it didn't allow the album to blossom as much as it should have.

He seriously needs to change up his setlist. Same old stuff every gig. I know he has to cater to the mainstream and casual Oasis fans, but come on, how about 'Idlers Dream', 'Alone On The Rope' or even an acoustic 'Fade In/Out'?

Changing a set list every night would stress him out. Simply put... he can't be arsed. ----- That said, an acoustic Fade In/Out would be mega.

'Everybody's On The Run' is a fantastic song, but the video is an abomination that should be removed from YouTube.
Just a thought.

A few months ago I was at home with some friends (none of them is an Oasis fan) and while we were eating pizza the EOTR video started playing on one of those TV channels dedicated to music videos. After it ended one of my friends asked me: "So, is this the famous Gallagher guy you went to see twice last year?". I felt quite embarrassed to be honest

I felt quite embarrassed to be honest I'm sure we could get the 'Right Ear of Nash' youTube channel to create a better video than the trash we have. I love their videos... this one is wonderful...

He played AOTR once and the crowd was dead during it so he dropped it. Shame as I'd love to hear it in person.

He shouldnt give a shit what the crowd thinks and should play what makes him happy. He pretends to not give a shit about public approval but he clearly does, which is the exact reason we never got the AA album. I wish noel was more like Neil Young sometimes and didn't give a toss what the public think.
