Agree. Not the biggest fan of the song but the video really looks it is from some kind of "pop stars". If I Had A Gun video is quite shite too. I haven't watched that video since it first came out, its exactly as bad as I remember. The worst oasis related video of all time. They could have filmed Noel walking to the shops to get a loaf of bread and it would have been infinitely better. Do the damage and the Beady Eye one with the whores are certainly worse!

The EOTR video is a total embarrassment. This song deserved so much better... I think the director totally missed the point of the song

Yeah, probably that was even worse. Nonsense.

The EOTR video has scarred me for life. I haven't watched another Gallagher-related video since.

The Right Stuff (High Flying Bird in 3D - Version 1) and El Mexicano (The Reflex ‘La Revolución’ Vocal Mix) are two remixes I prefer to the original. Maybe the Toydrum Remix of In the Heat of the Moment too.

Everyone, go and listen to it. Now.
You're welcome.

Think Riverman is his best (solo) tune to date. Absolutely mind-blowing. That, and The Dying Of The Light. However, couldn't resist laughing (very loudly) when I read Liam's comments on twitter...

EOTR was tailor made for boxing training montages like the kind you see in HBO sports specials. The part where the orchestra kicks in is when the boxer should be punching the speedbag, then expertly cutting to scenes of him jumping rope or running alongside a moving car while his trainer yells at him from the passenger seat to dig deep. And precisely when Noel sings "hang in there love, you gotta hold on", fix a shot of him doing one arm pushups.

I think 'Just Let it Come Down Over Me' is one of the best solo songs Noel's done. Far, far better than Come On Outside, which is just ok but pretty generic.

An unreleased NG classic if ever there was one. It deserves to be an album track so I'm glad its not been tucked away on a b-side or deluxe edition bonus track.

I think the director totally missed the point of the song think its more that he took it too literally, "everybodys on the run? oh easy mate, have people runnin about innit, throw abit of leopard print undies in there and bish bash, jobs a gooden, my uncle can skateboard too man, call it £20 mate"

I just noticed that Noel Gallagher recieved thanks in the booklet of Songs of Innocence. the how and when it must have been when Oasis opened for U2 in the US for the popmart tour(1997). Noel has been thanked on How To Dismantle an Atomic Bomb as well. A Talk between the two of them inspired One Step Closer, Which was written about Bono's Dad passing.

Currently sitting at the Apple Store at the World Trade Center. Getting my MacBook repaired. In The Heat of The Moment just came on the in store PA. I once heard it when I was on a very boring date. Suddenly it was less boring. Just kidding, it sucked balls. At least there was good background music.

If I could rewrite Noel's solo history so far (all songs produced by Noel himself):
NGHFB 1. Everybody's on the Run 2. Dream On 3. If I Had a Gun... 4. The Death of You and Me 5. Record Machine 6. What a Life! 7. Alone on the Rope 8. Aka...Broken Arrow 9. (Stranded On) The Wrong Beach 10. Let the Lord Shine a Light On Me 11. Stop the Clocks
#1: What a Life! #2: If I Had a Gun... #3: Everybody's on the Run - Album - #4: The Death of You and Me #5: Dream On
BEHIND THE RAINBOW'S END 1. Riverman 2. In the Heat of the Moment 3. (Don't Stop) The Happening 4. Lock All the Doors 5. The Dying of the Light 6. The Right Stuff 7. While the Song Remains the Same 8. Come On Outside 9. Just Let it Come Down Over Me 10. You Know We Can't Go Back 11. Ballad of the Mighty I
#1: In the Heat of the Moment #2: You Know We Can't Go Back #3: Ballad of the Mighty I - Album - #4: While the Song Remains the Same #5: The Dying of the Light
And then all new stuff with David Holmes for LP3!

Still love Freaky Teeth and Revolution Song.
Anyone got a good guess as to why artists don't release simple digital EP's with all there extra tracks after the albums drop? You know... Noel could have dropped an EP with all his b-sides from that album cycle for example.

Noel could have dropped an EP with all his b-sides from that album cycle for example. Guessing, without an EP gathering all the tracks together, some people will put more money and effort into sourcing all the associated tracks from an album cycle, which benefits the artist more. On the other hand, some people wouldn't be interested at all and wouldn't even think about tracks outside the album itself unless a more major release like an EP was put out, so I guess it probably ends up more or less zero loss/gain in terms of money and effort in the end seeing as not many artists do it. B side compilation albums spanning over several album cycles though make a bit more sense, especially if the B-sides are good as they can be afforded more promotion than a few simple digital EPs.

Getting my MacBook repaired. Completely irrelevant to this thread but what was the issue and how much did it cost?
