He should grow some balls and play a full band version of DYKWIM. I would like a few million on my bank account, but you know..

He should grow some balls and play a full band version of DYKWIM. This falls under the "songs that are linked to Liam voice" category that he reference back in 2011 I think. He'll never do it. It would be awesome if he did though. At the very least he should have it bumping just before he takes the stage or as he leaves.

Am I the only one who thinks that the Beyond the Wizard's Sleeve Re-Animation of Riverman is actually better than the album version? https%3A//soundcloud.com/noelgallagher/riverman-beyond-the-wizards-sleeve-re-animation

Don't forget Wonderwall! A lot of people I know have never heard of Oasis or Noel Gallagher but they know about "that one song about a wall with the whiny vocals".

Does anybody have a recent picture of Noel smoking? Or has he stopped?

Does anybody have a recent picture of Noel smoking? Or has he stopped? I've not seen one, but I do know that he said, not too long ago, that he usually only has a smoke at around meal time.

Can Noel please My Big Mouth acoustically on tour? I remember reading a quote in which he said that he regretted not releasing an acoustic version of the song. Perhaps someone could pull up that quote for me, please? I think it was played acoustically to some journalist, along with The Masterplan, if I recall corectly. Paolo Hewitt in 'Forever the People', although it wasn't a private show it was backstage on tour where Paolo happened to be present for Noel playing 'My Big Mouth' acoustically before (according to Hewitt) asking himself why he didn't record it like that and then answering "Because I'm an idiot, that's why". I don't know about The Masterplan acoustically but in both "Getting High" and "Forever the People" Hewitt references Maison Rouge Studios on 8th September 1995 where he along with Liam, Noel, Meg Matthews, her friends Fran and Jess, Liam and an unknown brunette waited on Owen Morris mixing The Masterplan and Round Are Way before playing The Masterplan at full volume through the studio speakers.

Not the way Noel has been playing them lately. Noel can't play them 'straight' as it were. I can't imagine a scenario where Noel plays DYKWIM without doing it full electric band, and that my friend, would require a Liam vocal.

I never loved Idler's Dream as much as I did after hearing this performance. That's it, stop the music, the best thing ever has already been written and played, everyone can just give up because nothing else will ever measure up Yes, I'm being overly dramatic, but this performance gets me so emotional.

I was at the Dallas gig the night prior to this recording. We had planned to travel down for this gig, but it didn't work out. Sad really.

I'd really love a solo album from Noel in the vein of 'The Dreams We Have as Children'.
For me his performance at TCT in 2010 was the best live performance I've seen from either Gallagher.
The last two minutes from Whatever here show you how bland his HFB gigs really are, and how good they COULD be.
His Radio 2 performance in December last year was also amazing. It just feels like he plays with the electric guitars with HFB normally because he has to rather than because he actually prefers playing in that style.

Listen to EOTR from the Mastertapes session and tell me you don't fucking love this man (musically speaking, of course). Just magnificent.

I might talk shit about Noel gallagher but the lad is a bonafide legend in my book.
never have I listened to another songwriter and got instant satisfaction from the melodies he creates.
broken arrow has got to be one of his best pieces of work. that last chorus as 2:15 just takes me there.
