Listen to EOTR from the Mastertapes session and tell me you don't fucking love this man (musically speaking, of course). Just magnificent. EOTR is up there with anything Oasis ever released. It's a brilliant track.

Making Of NGHFB is still probably my favourite interview/doc/whatever of Noel's. He sounds so much more sincere and vulnerable and human and humble than anything from the Oasis era I've seen yet. I feel like he is really in love with the music he made there and it makes me love the album more and more. Such a wonderful man.

He's the only American in a British band... he sticks out as a bit different is all. There is nothing inherently wrong with him being an American guitarist. But you might recall, the United States and England had a bit of a spat from 1776 until 1781. As a result, England lost all rights and control over the United States. This 235 year old event still gives people a reason to, at times, playfully jest the other country. This is not the whole story, but this is more-or-less how it went down...

God bless the Chief. So the NGHFB gig over here in Croatia sold the least tickets of all the European gigs, it seems. The agency called up the Chief and asked, what now, are we still doing this or not? He decided to simply move the gig from a sports center to a club! Which means a more "intimate" atmosphere and all. And I can get to the club more easily than the previous venue! And this is all so amazing, I am so excited! I'm getting a throat infection but fuck it, I'll risk a smidge of pneumonia for the Chief!

Does anyone know around what time NGHFB do the soundcheck before the gigs?

Useless geeky post: I've noticed that in the last few gigs Noel has been using a new, never-seen before guitar instead of the green Telecaster he's always played on ITHOTM and Digsy's Dinner. After a bit of investigation I've found out that it's a Nash JM T-Master, basically a Fender Jazzmaster/Jaguar body shape with Telecaster electronics, pickguard and bridge. I don't really like its looks, a Fender Jaguar (maybe a Johnny Marr edition) would look a lot cooler in Noel's hands

Last week's gig in Copenhagen was clearly being recorded, as there was a stereo mic pointing to the audience. The sound was also better than usual (it was my sixth NGHFB gig), but that might be due to the incredible venue and the fact that I was standing in the front row, about 2 m away from the band, and I was hearing the sound coming out of the amps.
Anyway, it wouldn't surprise me if a live album came out next year.

For some reason I keep thinking that this gig was supposed to get a release. It has the same effects like the promo videos for Chasing Yesterday where Noel talks about the album. And why is In The Heat Of The Moment cut out? Maybe a compilation dvd?

Is anyone else getting bored of Noel doing the audience sung Live Forever at the gigs?
It's the musical equivalent of going for a half hour toilet break at work.
Mix up the setlist FFS!

Mix up the setlist FFS! for something thats classed as 'impromptu' can nearly set your watch by it i thought he actually started it in belfast but think other things so that to be wrong but i dont think it was the crowd starting it sure he just did it (maybe haha anything could've happened )

NGHFB [2011] 1. Everybody's on the Run 2. Dream On 3. If I Had a Gun 4. The Death of You and Me 5. Record Machine 6. What a Life! 7. Alone on the Rope 8. Soldier Boys & Jesus Freaks 9. Let the Lord Shine a Light On Me 10. Aka...Broken Arrow 11. (Stranded On) The Wrong Beach 12. Stop the Clocks Give it the right production and arrangement, and this would be an absolutely stormin' album. Aboslutely stormin' album and Dream On in one sentence? Or do you mean Aerosmith's Dream On? Definitely one of the worst Gallagher related songs.

I've always thought that Dream on was a bit shit but my opinion changed when I heard it live. It's addictive and very enjoyable, it really is something else in a live setting. Still, I would rank it quite low in my personal HFB songs list.

Still, I would rank it quite low in my personal HFB songs list. I would agree with that. I was listening to my music the other day...I found I was l singing my heart out to live version of Dream On and hadn't realised. Usually I would skip it

I never used to like the chorus to Dream On when HFB album came out, just seemed lacking. Don't mind it now. Always loved the verses.
Whenever I hear the chorus of Dream On I think of Sing (If the Song's Worth Singing)
...or at least what I imagine it might have sounded like.
