I think that there is a big chance for 'She Must Be One Of Us'. Wouldn't be suprised if 'Oh Lord' or 'God Help Us All' ends up as a b-side. They didn't make the CY cycle, so why would they make it on this new album or as a b-side? Lock All The Doors waited over 7 album cycles. Stop The Clocks waited over 4 album cycles. All Around the World waited over 2 album cycles. Etc...

what was Noel thinking?.....its just awful. Awful is not strong enough of a word. It would be a good song if not for the annoying RAIN RAIN RAIN part. I quite like the second verse, but I just can't listen to the song long enough to actually hear it.

I think you've been overly harsh on these songs. While I would never place any of them on par with say Don't Look Back In Anger or Champagne Supernova, they are far from utter crap. I mean, they are not in the 'A Quick Peep' or 'The Nature of Reality' arena, right?

I'm watching some NGHFB concert video or the other and I realised that I'm gonna cry so fucking hard during the upcoming concert. Probably during If I Had A Gun or DLBIA. Maybe Champagne Supernova. Probably during Talk Tonight if it happens. Slide Away tears are probably inevitable. I get way too emotional during concerts. I'm a wuss.

So he added She's Electric, Mucky Fingers and Little By Little to the set, and Slide Away and Freaky Teeth back in?

Whoops, forget what I said. Was a tribute band. Just saw the alledged setlist and when I noticed other songs such as Morning Glory, I knew something was wrong. Then I noticed it said 'Aka Noel Gallagher".

There was this interview that Noel did around the time CY was being released, where he was talking about his use of saxophones as something super-innovative. Like he was the first person in 30 years to use them. Thought about it today and I still think that's weird. If there's one thing that has been used a lot in popular music the last couple of years, it's saxophones. Makes you wonder if Noel has been living under a rock the last ten years, just listening to The Kinks, The Eagles and some 80's dance music on his headphones.

I've heard interviews around the same time you are referencing of him saying that he use to loathe the instrument because of the hundreds of "sax crimes" committed over the last 3 decades.

Maybe I remember wrong, but wasn't that Noel saying he would be accused of sax crimes himself for using it on the album? I think we need to find those interviews and get to the bottom of this once and for all

This is probably the inteview I was thinking about Lennon2217 (or the closest thing I'm able to find right now): “We made a demo of Riverman and we knew it was amazing,” says Gallagher, on the beautiful opening song of the album. “And then I was listening to [sax-laden one-hit wonder from 1974] Pinball by Brian Protheroe and thought: Shall I? Shall I actually get a saxophone player? And what if I get him to play not one but two solos? I know I’m going to be accused of sax crimes. I'm guilty of saxual harassment. "But f--- it. This is not Oasis. There’s nobody to tell me not to do it. And when you listen to that saxophone, please, don’t think about the guy from Spandau Ballet. Think about a dude from New Orleans in 1963, smacked out of his head and incredibly cool, because it’s time to reclaim the saxophone."

Maybe I should start listening to Croatian radio more often (not that I listen to it at all) now that the NGHFB gig is drawing closer.
