Went back to Who Built the Moon and it really is a fantastic album. Hasn't lost a drop of bombastic power in the last five years. Fort Knox is a call to arms, Holy Mountain is a drunken blast, Beautiful World creeps and rattles like vintage Radiohead, If Love is the Law is the more underrated banger he's done, and The Man Who Built the Moon just runs the world. And then that lilting finish with Dead in the Water, the perfect post-credits scene. What a time to be a Gallagher fan that was. I don't entirely agree, I can take or leave a couple of the tunes on there. STMHTF, not really feeling it. But the tunes I do like, the vast majority of the record, feel as fresh as a daisy and just as bracing and vital as when I first put the needle on the record in October 2017. And I still love the enthusiasm, "we're gonna take the world on.. And Win!" feeling it gives me. She danced, she danced, I don't apologise to any one who flames me, it's a fucking choon.

It's a real shame that Pretty Boy tanks out of ideas when it hits the chorus, because the romantic swirl of the verses is a gorgeous vibe for Noel, and the production/lyrics are some of the most enigmatic he's done. It could have been something quite moving with a more developed hook, but that repeating flat melody kills the vibe a little every time.

I’ve never used another music forum. Are fans of other bands whiny bitches like Noel’s fans 😂 X Oasis fans are def high strung. Coldplay fans on Reddit defend their poppy music till the death. If you want a good chuckle read fan posts about Music of the Spheres. It’s like Sgt Pepper to them. Radiohead fans are super chill and high brow.

I’ve never used another music forum. Are fans of other bands whiny bitches like Noel’s fans 😂 X It's Noel's fault. when you start with DM, MG, BHN then SOTSOG, WBTM, the EPs, the downfall is hard. Quality standard are just very high. We expect only greatness from the Man, so when he releases average stuff, we bite.

Reddit, I know a few of you also post there, have a lot more Noel fans than this board. Here, some seem to take it personally that Noel breaking up the band was the greatest tragedy in the History of Rock or something.
Like he's the dad who shagged all their mums, ran off and then refuses to visit or pay child support.

If you want a good chuckle read fan posts about Music of the Spheres. It’s like Sgt Pepper to them. Radiohead fans are super chill and high brow. Coldplay fans are a thousand times more chill than Radiohead fans, as someone who loves both bands. Radiohead fans often want, very desperately, to be seen as "high brow". I think some of them even form a bond with Radiohead due to the band's reputation as "high brow, clever-person rock music", because they haven't touched a boob and need to get their self-esteem from somewhere. And I know, because that was me when I was fifteen. Coldplay fans, in contrast, just... like Coldplay. Even Music of the Spheres! (Because Music of the Spheres was mostly pretty decent). There's also a lot more women, who I find just give less of a shit about so-called "good" music taste in general. My general experience is that pop-music fans are by far the most chill and fun to chat with; the more indie and "intellectualised" the music is seen as, the more likely you are to find irritating fans, pretentious superiority complexes, and closed-minded attitudes. And then there's the Bob Dylan fandom, which mainly consists of cool uncles, as far as I can tell.

Masterplan, Oa515, Live4ever, At Ease, Green Plastic and Coldplaying. Oasis are the most high strung mostly due to the band being over and two large personalities in the group. Radiohead and Coldplay don’t have dynamics like that of in house fighting over which brother is better. Remember the great flame wars of the mid 2000s and early 2010s? That was fucking ugly. There was never really fighting on At Ease or Green Plastic. The forums were generally extremely open to various music genres as well like hip hop. Coldplaying became a playground of Oldplay Vs Newplay with neither side backing down. Don’t really go there anymore as it has now become a state of over praising albums like Head Full of Dreams and Spheres. Two albums I am not a fan of for weak songs.

I think that was his name on oa515, right? Had a bazillion posts or something. I was there for a bit before going to the Soapbox until it imploded and then ending up here. Do most bands have active forums besides small Reddits? Most seem to be pretty dead by now.

It seems like Reddit is now the place for most bands. Some have discords. But I haven't bothered to see if it's worth it. I think a forum or reddit is good enough for posting and backup. As long as the site is active or archived(rip Stadium Arcadium)
