Can anyone share the Noel's interview about the origin of We're On Our Way Now? I'm interested in lady story. Did he mention lady in interviews? 'Cause I've only found: "It's a song about not getting to say goodbye and the frustration of things left unsaid" I got some theory I wanna make a thread about but I can't prove it without interviews. I mean, my theory works only if lady wasn't ever mentioned in Noel's interviews and appeared in lyrics only. I think he said it was about a couple of friends iirc

I have no access to it (no suprise)... My theory is that Noel meant another person except lady or friend. But if he really said smth about real person somewhere (not just threw dust in our eyes), my theory is useless. I don't wanna be a fool when creating a thread that's why I ask proofs If someone can help me, please answer me! I'd be so grateful to you!

Yeah it was on Matt's podcast I'm quite sure of it, he said it was inspired by a couple of friends and I think something happened to one of them and he was touched by the other's reaction

Now my theory is really useless. It was about Liam ofc. I'd even written it for Russians here a year ago but didn't have access to Matt Morgan's podcast. I thought 'It’s a song about not getting to say goodbye and the frustration of things left unsaid' was the only source. You can translate my theory and say 'what a joke' lol.

I just saw the other day that We’re Going to Get There in the End has been “officially released” on iTunes along with Trying to Find a World That’s Been and Gone as a two track EP. Both are brilliant songs but the first especially. It really gave me a push when I needed it back on NYE 2020.

I want that bloody AA High flying birds album!!! The Recod Store Day idea is the best way to get it out. No pressure. Reviews don’t matter. Sales don’t matter. That’s the type of stuff that artists get out via RSD. But I’m gonna lower my expectations. We will prob get alternative vinyl of Pretty Boy/Mind Games 7 inch.

In some parts of the world he cover of The Butterfly Collector by Noel will be available to play in the new Rocksmith+(guitar hero with your guitar) platform from 6th of September. Hopefully more tracks get added. I couldn't see it in my country but it's in this list theriffrepeater.com/rocksmith-announces-release-date/Oasis were in RS2014 with DLBIA and a dlc pack with supersonic, Wonderwall, Live forever, Some Might Say and Champagne Supernova. Rocksmith+ will have in some territories the cover of My Generation (but none of those before mentioned Oasis songs).

Chasing Yesterday tour sets are ludicrously good.
Most of CY gets a showing at some point plus Do The Damage. Then we get all of the highlights from the debut too.
And we get a wealth of Oasis classics in the mix too:
Champagne Supernova The Masterplan Fade Away Digsy's Dinner Listen Up Don't Look Back In Anger Wonderwall Half The World Away

Mad how casually Noel was spinning out these perfect melodic twists back then.

I finally got curious enough to go listen to Noel's cover of The Mighty Quinn, and all I can say is: why? It's not a real exciting song to begin with, and he does like the acoustic church worship band version of it. This is his closer?? Just brutal.

It’s such a great track and still hits me in the feels. Great lyrics in there.

Is it just me, or did all the deluxe editions of the self-titled album get removed from streaming? IIRC at one point I could choose from three different editions, but now it's only the original. I can't find The Good Rebel or Let the Lord Shine a Light On Me on Spotify, Apple Music, or Tidal. How weird.

As for the other one...one of his best tunes and right up Noel's alley to bin it somehow.

After a couple of years of contemplation... I am firmly in the camp or WBTM is Noel's greatest solo album. It's an album that feels like home. I always listen to it from start to finish. Just flows perfectly. Wouldn't change a thing.
I would argue that Dead In The Water is required listening after End Credits.

Just flows perfectly. Wouldn't change a thing. I would argue that Dead In The Water is required listening after End Credits. It’s a very good album for sure but not without its flaws. A couple of production choices still bother me 5 years later. 1. The alarm bell in Fort Knox is far too long. Lasts like 2 minutes and is loud in the mix. Minor gripe but it should have lasted about 15-20 seconds. 2. I’m a big Beautiful World fan but Charlotte part shouldn’t be 40 seconds long. Maybe 5-10 seconds. It didn’t age well in my opinion. That section that is. 3. The interludes aren’t placed right in the running order. They are bunched up on the back end. Needed to be sprinkled in earlier. 4. It feels like the album is 1-2 tracks short. I wish This Is The Place was finished at this time. Would have been a nice add. Or even Black Star Dancing.

I thought that I was getting into Pretty Boy but then I played this and call me whatever you want, but for me, this is on another level and give me always this.

I was listening to Black & White Sunshine and I suddenly realized that the riff sounds like an old Nokia ringtone. Now I have to take a hiatus from the song.
