There are some rumours of Noel in South America next year, it would be between April and May. Also Gorillaz is coming to South America in that period.

that article was about UK/Europe, and yeah the situation differs from country to country and with COVID and everything who knows when it will end. But no matter how tickets for 2022 are selling now, there was a lot of rescheduled tours. and lot of bands are gonna tour if it will be allowed to make a living. So.. Oh, for sure, bands (and all the many many workers who support the live music business) are dying to tour. Just noting they are only half the equation so if the aim of an artist were to avoid chaos, due to uneven recoveries, it might be less straight forward than it appears. Anyway, not sure Noel needs any industry reason to wait until 2023. Didn't he say he was taking a few years off well before Covid and the run on vinyl? I don’t take too seriously what Gallagher’s says about their future plans tbh. I remember Liam saying that he gonna take a long break after his second album. And he changed his plans because WMWN was successful and he wanted to continue(Well he did take a break but unwillingly) Iirc Noel said that in 2019 or early 2020 when reception of his eps wasn’t great, his tickets sales were bad. I remember him dramatically tweeting something like: it’s only 13 years until I retire wait a little bit! Circumstances and his mood might have changed and his plans too. Anyway we are only speculating, we will see what will happen

He said he was taking 2020 off completely because he wanted to be with the kids, then Covid happened so I'm sure he saw enough of them His plans were always 2023, maybe back end of 2022 Given that 2021 is basically over, it looks likely that we're staying on that path

Wish my life was only as dramatic as that tweet mate Anyway, he planned to take 2020 off besides Glasto and a couple of other things, then write in 2021 and record properly in 2022 Given the info we have he got in the studio a few months earlier than that (late 2020) but I don't think I've heard him mention he's doing proper recording and not demos yet, so sadly (if you're a fan, I mean) we're still looking at 2023 now

What “album” name would you give the EPs and the other singles released in 2020-21? I’m putting together an iTunes playlist and want to give the 12 songs a proper cohesive collection name. Suggestions? (I kinda like Blue Moon Rising…then I ran out of ideas) I kinda like 'The Dark Side Of The Moon'. What do you mean it's already taken?? 😂

Well whenever we get Noel's next album I can wait because I'm looking forward to Liam's new album next year more at the moment.

It's very unusual to see Noel in South America without a proper tour. Maybe he's coming to support another major gig like the support for U2 in 2017.

There were rumours of him opening for them again a while ago, not sure they're touring before 2023 though Also I think Noel mentioned in one of the podcasts at some point this year he was looking to maybe do something outside of Europe in 2022 because it looked like it was going to be easier with Covid restrictions, maybe there's actually some kind of small tour coming?

One of the Roxy Girls shared the post on her Instagram stories, I'd love it if he took them on tour permanently

I’d sign a piece of paper for fall 2022. But who knows.

We could be waiting ages for Noel's new album. I mean he maybe writing some new songs or whatever but we haven't had any official news that he's actually recording a new album.

So what can we expect from the announcement that there will be shows next year? The south america rumours from a few days ago seem to be true. Maybe he will finally play the cancelled "forest-shows" in UK leading up to Glasto? I really hope for at least one show in Germany. Right now the covid situation here gets worse and worse every second so I am still concerned about future concerts. I have tickets for concerts in march and I am not sure it can go ahead.

(Stranded On) The Wrong Beach is a great tune, would be very nice to get this one back on the setlists. With the current band, that chorus would sound massive.

I wonder if We're Gonna Get There In the End is gonna make it...in the end
Didn't listen to it much once Back The Way We Came came out but I've got to say going back to it recently it's not half bad and I wouldn't mind it getting the Flying On the Ground treatment production-wise, it's got some good potential and I can see it finding its place on a 12 tracks album

I can't believe how underrated flying on the ground is. It's one of the best song noel ever wrote, the melodies are astonishing and the arrangement is simply perfect. It bothers me that people don't recognize the quality of this song, I know that taste is subjective but still..
