2023 for the next album !? Way too long ! This seems pretty standard to me if I'm honest, he always takes his time with album releases and IF the thing about doing an acoustic tour after covid was true and not just another rumour, he obviously wouldn't want it to clash with any promo for a new record

I love how Noel dumped on Brian Eno for the last 12–15 years and now wants to work with him. Duh!!!!

Choir on HFB : OK bar Record Machine Choir on SOTSOG: Not OK bar Roll it Over Now it's time to stop though. That and female back vox. We got enough tunes like that. On SOTSOG, Linda Lewis and PP Arnold, very accomplished singers were the backing vocalists for FITB, Put Your Money Where Your Mouth is and Roll It Over. The other choir sounds on the album were fake and lousy. However, two of the tracks with Linda and PP (FITB, and ROll It Over) are probably the two best tracks on the album. Noel should do more with female vox, not less. They have been much more prominent from 2017-present and it has made the sound vibrant. I don't know if Noel wrote with Liam in mind for Oasis but if he did, he really should now write with female vocalists in mind. Oh yeah forgot about FITB ! This one is good too obviously. to me I disagree with female backing vox, though, he's used it on almost every song in the last two cycles, it's time to go another direction. It was a good idea, but less is more, sometimes.

But the work he's done since with female vocalists are fine and so were the choir used in Oasis songs.

I think that we'll just have to wait and see as we could get a new album sooner depending on the Covid situation of course.

I love Noel's solo on the album version of Coldplay's Up&Up. Sides C&D on that album are great once you've got passed all of the radio pop.

Where did the “doing an acoustic tour after covid” come from?? Hadn’t heard that rumor yet. Any other details, eg, is this for the HFB greatest hits album?

What is Noel doing in LA? I came here to ask the same thing. Seems unlikely it's just a vacation. We've got much more serious masking rules than England right now and it's hardly Ibiza around here. I'd guess visiting someone, recording with someone or doing what every VIP does in LA...taking meetings. Maybe he's finally writing a film score ...

When he wasn't complaining about woke snowflakes, he mentioned something about how there "was always a plan" to do an orchestral/acoustic tour of Oasis songs, then added that he didn't know when it would be possible due to Covid. There was no actual date attached. Hey, maybe he's gonna do it with the LA Phil at the Hollywood Bowl ... the perfect Boomer audience for orchestral Oasis

On Matt's pod he said he was doing promo and recording some stuff, didn't go any further

Noel should do more instrumental stuff. Fort Knox is my favorite track on WBTM, and I've just been listening to Teotihuacan and thinking, yeah, I'd listen to a whole album of that.

That'd be interesting. He does have a strong track record with instrumentals, when you think - Swamp Song, Teotihuacan, Fuckin' in the Bushes, Fort Knox. All bangers. Maybe it would free him even more musically, as well. But at the end of the day his natural inclination is to revolve a song around the vocals and he's too natural at those to be satisfied with a whole album of instrumentals - maybe an EP or sprinkling them into this fabled double album that won't happen would be feasible, though.

Could use them as b-sides as well I know he doesn't want to waste songs anymore cos it's not 1995, so a single with cover + instrumental track as b-sides would be pretty cool

I'm surprised that Noel hasn't done the Trnsmt festival yet. Maybe he will on his next tour or something.

There's a post on Noel's YT channel asking what songs you'd most like to appear in his set lists. The mock-up reads: Everybody's On The Run Supersonic Chasing Yesterday Listen Up Riverman Half The World Away Broken Arrow Wonderwall What A Life! Don't Look Back In Anger Chasing Yesterday? I'm getting this is just a slip up from management. Unless he refers to While The Song Remains The Same as CY?
