I'd prefer seeing it in the movies but have a lot going on this weekend and a trip to Miam wasn't in those plans. I wanna wait and buy it on blu ray but it's just so tempting right now to get on iTunes. I prefer digital downloads now. I don't have anywhere anymore for physical media.

Just met Liam and had a beer with him Album should be out before/in summer, recording is not quite done yet but it's in the making, Bonehead 'might be a part of it' but there will be a few more surprises, can't say anything about live right now. I'm gonna write more tomorrow but this could be interesting I thought What a great night! Saw the film the 3rd time now and could just watch it over and over again. Brought a friend who wasn´t that much into Oasis but he loved the movie too and said he will check out their albums soon As for meeting Liam, we met him in a pub near the cinema, Bonehead was also there with a few other people who I don´t know. They both looked ace. Liam wore a Loch Lomond look alike jacket, Bonehead wore some fur jacket looking like... I don´t know We asked them for an autograph and Liam said we should take a seat. So of course you don´t say no to that. After some smalltalk about the movie I asked if he could tell me something about his new album, he said that there are 14 songs which have potential to go on the record but it´s not finalized yet. He wants to release it in summer next year or maybe a bit earlier. He will tour it but he doesn´t know yet who else will stand on stage with him. He asked if I can play an instrument and I said I just can put my arms behind my back and act like him - he replied that that´s already his part and one like that should be enough on a stage Then I asked who records the album with him in the studio but he said he can´t talk about that right now "but the bald guy over there" (Bonehead) might help him out once in a while but we won´t be disappointed and there might be a few surprise guests. Also asked Bonehead what he´s up to at the moment and he just said he´s just enjoying reliving the 90s with this movie and having a good time with Liam. Before they had to leave for an interview Liam brought us another beer saying that´s for not asking about Noel or a reunion Already met him a few times and also had a few chats with him already and he always was a great guy but this was probably the best time. Fun, honest, polite - what a guy! Thanks so much for asking him about the album. I've decided to go to the UK (I live in Sydney) and see him play when he starts to tour, problem is I don't know whether to go back to uni or just book flights... will have to wait for a actual release date but if it's summer or before it should be within the next 2-3 months

Just watched it for the first time and I've been dragged back to my 17 year old hey-day... nostalgia has a way of surprising you.
When Oasis split, I was a big advocate of Liam & Noel going their separate ways and us fans getting two albums per usual Oasis cycle instead of the standard one. Watching Supersonic reminds me of how great Noel's songs sound with Liam's vocals and I'm a hungry 17 year old again.
I'm a Liam and Noel fan. I love them both and eagerly await their releases... but I'd love love one last swan song of a Noel written album with Liam's vocals.

So here's a big question, that deserves a big answer: Anyone know if it's possible to buy an electronic US or UK iTunes Card from another country, create an account for that country and buy the movie from there?

Does anyone have a link to the 'Amsterdamage ferry incident' clip? I saw a short clip posted on facebook the other day on the Oasis main page now but I can't find it.

Fuck that. Bonehead started that statement, such bull shit IMO That's your opinion mate and you're entitled to it, but by the same token Bonehead and others (me included) are entitled to theirs. Oasis at Knebworth was the peak in terms of commercial/critical success and mass adoration, and even though I do like a lot of the records that came after it is very telling that every tour afterwards for example relied heavily on the first two LP's for a set list. There was no way financially speaking with pressures from their management, publishers and record company, as well as probably the brothers (particularly Noel at that time) own realisation that solo careers wouldn't come close to what they had achieved as a band. Artistically however calling it a day after Knebworth and moving onto other projects may have been the best thing given that they couldn't (understandably) hope to recapture their meteoric rise and peak, and unfortunately a string of bizarre or poor decisions regarding band members, production, recording and touring dropped their stock even further from 1996 onwards. As I said before that isn't to say I haven't enjoyed the records that followed, but like many major bands there is usually a peak where you can say "That was their moment" be it a particular event or more realistically a period of time which in Oasis case for me was April 1994 to August 1996. Its always a very neat and tidy idea in hindsight for both band members and fans to say Knebworth should ahve been the end . I'm very glad they kept going.

Fair dues, as I have said before Oasis are not the only major artist where it is possible to say they could/should have gone out at a certain peak, and the records that followed for all of those have both detractors and fans so really it personal tastes since history won't be changing anyway.

I finally had time to sit down and watch "Supersonic" tonight. Purchased it off iTunes last night. IIncredible. This was the band I feel in love with in the mid 90s. This sense of excitement and raw emotion will not be replicated. If you were lucky enough to have experienced first hand you know what I mean. If you didn't, this film will be your textbook! I really enjoyed the style it was put together. No talking heads was refreshing. Every documentary seems to go down that road and we've seen other Oasis docs like that. The early pre band footage was mind blowing. So happy it exists, was found and used. Hats off to that job. So cool to see Noel in his previous life as a well traveled roadie. People forget, Noel was in his late 20s when Oasis started. He had tons of knowledge going into that band that served them (us) well. Great to have people like Bonehead, Guigs, Alan and Tony contribute. Those guys WERE Oasis. No offense to Gem or Andy or the Spinal Tap drummers post 2000, but those are the guys in the band that I LOVED growing up in America in 1995-1998. Noel and Liam were fire and ice! I'm glad this documentary came about in this manner, not when Oasis was still active in post 2000 mode, not right after the split but 20 years since Knebworth. When you think about it, legends were made in those 3 short years. Glad they began the film with Knebworth and then went back in time. Surely the only way to tell the tale. O A S I S

Just finished watching for the 3rd time - once in a theater and twice via digital download. I got into Oasis in 2007 when most of the cement was already dried on the Noel-Liam relationship. Listening to clips I'd never heard before from early interviews talking about their relationship both on and off-stage was almost heartbreaking to see how far they've driven each other apart. I do get what Whitecross was saying about there being hope for reconciliation at some point, though. That's not to say that I think we're getting a reunion anytime soon nor would I want one now. This documentary did a great job of humanizing two larger than life personalities and it makes you want them to get along just as people and brothers, if not as musicians and bandmates.
Seeing the documentary in a theater (and the fact that something like this now exists) just blew me away completely. This is one of the most exciting moments of my being a fan of Oasis - right up there with first hearing WTSMG all the way through, going to my first Oasis gig, the announcement of Noel's first solo record when I thought we'd never see anything else from him, and many more. Truly amazing.

Downloading it iTunes right now and I found the blu-ray somewhere else. It's too bad itunes just offers 1080p, especially spending the money for it.
