Team behind 'Amy' to helm Oasis documentary: www.nme.com/news/nme/89451I'd be up for it, although I doubt we'll hear much we haven't heard before. Should get some new footage though

Haven't seen Amy and not interested either, but the same team did the smash hit documentary Senna. Great great film, even appealed to non-F1 fans who loved it - this could be very good.

Can't wait for the fictionalized movie with actors playing Liam, Noel, Bonehead and all like this The Doors movie. This will be a real laugh.

Is it former Chelsea GP & Jose Mourniho suing Eva Carneiro? She might be able to keep Liam match fit and off the bad stuff for the reunion, as well as keeping Noel's stress levels down

Can't wait for it! Wonder if they'll have anything new that the hardcore fans haven't seen already, but I'll definitely looking forward to it. They did great job with Amy and I think Oasis doc is gonna rock!

Would be great if they really got everybody on board, especially our elusive singer and if by now there is not so much bitterness anymore from either Gallagher, looking back.

This means the management team will probably delay the Knebworth doc and BHN again because the market can't cope with too many Gallagher related releases in one year ;-P

What A BIG DEAL! Amy was two times nominated for Cannes. It was fairly well recieved. The Box office office until now is at 9 Mio $.

As it was a highlight in their career, maybe it will be centered around this? I'd love for them to go further and explore the story afterwards, but I guess that is really interesting only for some of the fans.

Never seen Amy... Will they blend the archive footage with current interviews, you reckon?

A Knebworth doc was filmed at the time by the band's management but has never been released. I'd expect it to be that Noely Poly was referring to. (Or an updated version with some modern day talking heads added).

I imagine that if this film had a premier that the attendance wouldn't be too high from the people featuring in the film.

Amy is brilliant. She is a flawed genius... Was well made so this is good news.

I think this is good news, and like some pointed out, very good publicity for the upcoming year with Knebworth, Be Here Now, etc. Personally I am more excited about the Knebworth release, but if this documentary includes stuff from that era as promised, then it would be a great lead-up to that. Fans like us on this board are way more knowledgeable than the average person, and we'll likely be seeing/hearing some things we already know about in this documentary, but the doc could go a long way to (re)promoting Oasis to the wider public. This is especially if it gets the kind of good promo and reviews that "Amy" did.

I forgot to add--I think, if promoted and distributed correctly, it would be a boon to Oasis in North America, where there are still lots of people who can only think of "Wonderwall" and a handful of other songs, and don't know much about the band's history. Given that it's attached to Mat Whitecross and the people who did "Amy," and if it was shown here in North America, it'd be excellent publicity for upcoming Oasis releases.
