What's the point of releasing it on different dates in every country? To promote online piracy?

What's the point of releasing it on different dates in every country? To promote online piracy? Yeah, same with the HMV exclusives.

Director nor A24 will answer this online. Wondering if they are waiting to announce till after 10/26 to not hurt box office sales for the theaters. Seems odd if it would be delayed any further.

If any of you read the review from the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram you will understand the hassle that it is to be an Oasis fan living in Texas. The guy missed the entire point of the film, and then spent 1,000 words bemoaning that fact. We get it... you hate Be Here Now, you hate British bands that take over "your" charts, you hate artist who criticize what music has become post-internet explosion... on and on and on. Shut up. ------ In other news... I saw this morning that the film has an 88% on Rotten Tomatoes. So that's good.

Shut up. ------ In other news... I saw this morning that the film has an 88% on Rotten Tomatoes. So that's good. Local newspapers mate, not very relevant in the modern era. I appreciate that Fort Worth is a fair size bigger than most UK cities but in context looking the continental United States in size for comparison all that paper will be is The Leicester Mercury, Truro Packet, Newquay Voice, etc. and rather like those titles better off ignored perhaps? Also maybe it's me but I'm slightly cynical of any media company whose background is so entrenched in a national imahge, in The McClatchey Company case despite being founded two centuries ago by an Irish immigrant during the goldrush they have built and maintained a business on US (perceived?) values including investing in American sports such as Pitssburgh Pirates. This would suggest to me rather like certain UK based media outlets with perceived 'British' values that anything from outside their sphere of comfort or influence which threatens the status quo will get a rougher ride, be it culture, politics or social affairs and so a dislike of "British bands who take over our charts" is not entirely unexpected. The bottom line is like all media companies they have a corporate agenda and people working within them with individual ideals and thoughts, so you are better off taking what facts you can from multiple sources for balance and ignoring opinion pieces by instead forming your own. I was heartened by a Gallup Poll in September that showed a drop to 32% of Americans having trust of the mainstream media, which is substantially lower than in the 1980's or 1990's for example. Interestingly though as one of a Russian background to give another spin that can be taken either way Russia Today ran an article in April claiming only 6% of Americans had a "great deal of confidence" in the mainstream media. Don't Believe the Truth indeed (also don't let me overdo the coffee first thing in the morning, clearly ) Hardly surprising
