This "one night only" here in Austria really is a disappointment, as I just cannot make it on the 27th October. I was hoping for at least one other date, but no chance apparently. Oh well, have to wait for the DVD then.

I just moved to France and I don't think they will have it the cinema here. Very disappointed. Guess I'll have to buy a good home cinema set to enjoy the film at home. You could have returned to this clogland just to watch it in cinema last week! I thought about it but I now live down south so it's a bit far. If you want to see it again another option is Antwerp, it plays there upcoming Tuesday.

I'm from Chelmsford and I'd love to see it again but the cinemas that are supposedely showing it 'near me' according to www.oasisfilmtickets.com/ dont seem to actually have it listed on their respective websites. Looks like I'll just wait for the Blu Ray.

I'm gonna pre-order a DVD, it's out in 2 weeks anyway. Hope you have a better weather down there than here (I know you do!)

Don't know where mimmihopps lives but over here it rained yesterday, today was great but next week it'll be raining every day.

Seen it last night. What a great documentary, so cool hearing these songs full blast at the movies. What strikes me is how young Liam was. Even in the 1996 footage complaining about Noel singing Wonderwall he was acting a little older already then in the 1994 footage.
Great movie, I enjoyed the two hours. Interesting interview with director Matt Whitecross afterwards. I wonder what extra footage we'll get when the dvd is released.

Looks interesting, cheers David. Love that picture of the Gallagher brothers. Is this what you've been involved in, @oasisarchive? You probably meant to tag me in this, right? Actually, no. What I helped out with is a an upcoming TV episode in a series called "Hitlåtens Historie" (produced by SVT - Swedish Television, but will be broadcasted in all of Scandinavia). It's a 30-minute TV show that focuses on one hit song and the full story behind that particular song. Noel Gallagher was interviewed specially for it, and other key people and it will feature some rare footage - so will be very interesting. The episode is all about "Don't Look Back In Anger". It was announced on Norwegian radio the other day, so I guess it's no secret anymore. It is said to air in November, but I will post details in a separate thread as soon as I have them. Joakim Stumbled across this earlier episode in that series the other day, which looks in depth at Garbage's Stupid Girl. Will be fascinating to see a similar treatment for Don't Look Back in Anger. I wonder if they will have had access to the Morning Glory multitracks for this. Would be great to see Owen Morris go through the recording, track by track.

Didn't think Mark Kermode was going to review it but he has. He likes it too It's pathetic how chuffed I am by this. But Kermode is pretty much the top dog when it comes to film criticism in this country, as far as I can tell. If no one else, he's the one man you WANT to have like your film. So I'm pleased for Mat Whitecross and all involved with the making of it, and hope this spurs on some of Kermode's listeners who haven't seen the film, to give it a chance. I was a bit worried, knowing how Mark takes such offence to the objectifying of women in cinema, how he'd take to, say, Liam saying, "[Scott McLeod's] bird must be fit as fuck!"... And clearly, going off the barnet and how he plays double bass in a band, and all that carry on, it wasn't likely he'd be an Oasis fan going into it. So that he enjoyed the film, regardless of all that, is very nice to hear. And I agree with him, as well - they were definitely right to end the film in '96. Never heard of him before to be honest. But a reviewer intelligent and open minded enough to not form prejudices based on his own personal taste seems to be a rare thing indeed. It's obvious Oasis really isn't his thing but he can still review it objectively. I mean you'd think that would be a given for anyone in the profession but hey ho. I still haven't seen the film, but reviews like this are very encouraging!

Oh well, have to wait for the DVD then. Cinema Paradiso in Baden will show the movie on November 25. It´s after the DVD release but I think it´s still worth watching it in a cinema. Also there might be other dates added if the screening on October 27 is a success. www.vienna.at/event-screening-von-oasis-doku-supersonic-in-ausgewaehlten-kinos/4968750
