Never quite thought I'd find the trailer emotional even, but when that quote from Peggy came it went from celebrational to emotional in a heartbeat. When you think of where they came from, and what they went on to achieve it's really extraordinary, and I can't wait to see that story played out on the big screen. I'm also glad it's not a talking head documentary, but narrated by the key people with relevant visuals and footage. It worked really well in the Amy documentary, and as long as it has subtitles I'm sure this will as well I recognized most of the footage in the trailer, and it's great to see they've gone through such strengths to compile it all, and I know we're in for even more surprises in the full length film. Outside the obvious ones seen in the trailer are The Point; Dublin 1996, The Odeon; Cleveland 1995 (where a good spirited food fight erupt as the band walks off one-by-one during IATW), Nagoya 1994, backstage TOTP 1995 before first SMS performance (Tony's last public performance, which leads me to suspect he's the person Noel is referring to at the end of the trailer), in the van going to Sheffield 1995, Waterrats 1994 (soundcheck & gig) to name a few. Now it's just left to see when the admin over at the official Oasis outlets can find his old Youtube or Facebook password so that this can be spread officially as well. What a missed opportunity. Fans are left doing the promotion themselves. I can't help but feel a bit sorry for Matt and the documentary team that have actually gone on to make what looks like a smashing film, only to be met by such absolute amateurs when it comes to promoting this film or communicating officially to the fans.

At least when they did get round to tweeting the link, they handled it well enough. " Two brothers, one legacy." That has a great ring to it. On their own, I have my issues with both of them, but as a whole - as a sort of creative partnership - I bloody love the Gallagher brothers. And I always will.

Which gig is the curtain falling to reveal the Oasis logo? Earls Court? How did you recognise the van footage to Sheffield, has that been anywhere before? Noel's definitely talking about Liam at the end, he even looks round to him.

Just leaving three random pics of a young Arsene Wenger here. Thank me later Christ he looks fucking bizarre in that picture. It's very unsettling. My mind refuses to believe that this is indeed a photo of "Noel Gallagher".

Isnt Noel talking about Liam at the end? It could very well be. Upon viewing the clip again I guess it might as well be directed at Liam, so my apologies for thinking too loud there. What made me think it could be directed at Tony McCarroll is that Liam seems in good spirits, and raises his fist at Noel's comment. Also, I took into account the timing of that clip. I'd date it 27th April 1995, and this is literally just days before Tony got sacked. They were back in Elstree Studios on Top of The Pops doing a re-run of Some Might Say on 3rd May 1995 with Alan White on drums, so Noel - and probably even the rest of the band - must've known he [Tony] was making his last performance that very day. It had been planned for a while. They also had a bad habit of talking about Tony behind his back, and especially during the US tour in Feb/March 1995 tension was high. I have it on good authority footage of this exist, but I have no idea if this will be in the documentary. It could be a bit uncomfortable for all parts involved. I could probably elaborate some more on this, but I'd prefer to save that discussion till after the documentary. Hey how do you know where all the rare footage is from? It's a matter of connecting information. I collect magazine clippings, pictures, video footage and recordings - and have been for years. I have also helped the documentary team verify where and when many of the stills and footage in the film is from. I have a database where I try to link images and recordings to each specific event. That does not mean I have actually seen all the footage myself, but it's possible to cross reference and place it accurately on the timline with the help of images and information. A lot of information on these recordings (filmed by Tim Abbott) is also published in his book 'Definitely' [1996]. I have also been fortunate to see some of it through a contact in Manchester who toured with the band for a while, but again only clips. This documentary will be awsome, that's all I know for certain.

Which gig is the curtain falling to reveal the Oasis logo? Earls Court? How did you recognise the van footage to Sheffield, has that been anywhere before? Yes - that curtain falling is Earls Court 1995. I recognized the van footage as Sheffield 1995 as I was involved with research for an upcoming TV special on Oasis that has not been aired yet. I got involved with that due to my website on a research basis, and I don't actually work in TV. I will post more information on this when it becomes public, but I'm hoping it'll air this autumn. It's not totally unlikely that this particular clip (the band in the van driving) might be used in another context (such as illustrating an earlier tour or something), but this was them driving up to Sheffield Arena, I can confirm.
