Bollocks to that. I'm watching this baby on the BIGGEST 4K CINEMA SCREEN my old town (of, er, Bolton) has to offer, surrounded by like-minded people, and with copious amounts of sugary treats sat piled up in boxes between my ankles and by my elbows. I'm 100% waiting for the full cinema experience, if tickets ever become available for purchase! Mat tweeted ted kessler saying the new mix blows your head off and give you tinnitus. Gonna be amazing hearing the music played loudly in a cinema

Oh I imagined there wouldn't be many Oasis fans in your town. Same goes for mine. I hope I'm wrong though. Oh no, my town's just down the road from Manchester, so we do alright. Though, to be honest, I am hoping to make it to one of the venues that're showing the film from the 2nd. And experience tells me my little old town won't be included in that, so that may just mean a trip into Manchester after all... But then maybe it won't. It's difficult to know for sure, when the producers and marketing men aren't arsed enough to tell you where the film's playing, innit?...

Mad how little promo this has had! If it wasn't for this forum I wouldn't know it was happening at all!

Is Beady Eye's management behind all this?

If the trailer doesn't get put up today, something is seriously wrong here.

Bizarre how quiet all of this is. I can only presume once Noel is done with the tour on Tuesday there will be a bit more promo.

The trailer really needs to get released TODAY. It's clearly outside of the directors hands (as you can tell from the tweet he replied to me over a week ago), so I really hope management steps up and gives us something before the weekend kicks in. This strategy is really odd, especially as they somehow prioritize updating the 'Be Here Now' super deluxed boxset details for us die-hard fans, instead of starting the promotional campaign for a big documentary to much wider audience.
There has already been press screenings, and with a documentary like this aiming at cinema distribution worldwide and film festivals, you really need to go all out there if you want people with only a general interest in music to actually get curious about this film. I also find it especially odd considering it has such a limited exclusivity on cinema, before it's actually released on DVD/Blu-ray. If it doesn't perform above expectations in cinema, I'd say the build up is to blame. I know of many people who are casual fans who've yet to hear about this film.
Besides, for a film such as this there really shouldn't be just one trailer. There should be multiple teasers and trailers in the months leading up to it. So far we've got a promotional poster, and a few stills...

I hope I can get my parents and sister out of the house and watch the doc in a big TV with loud volume and lots of beer. Maybe even bring couple of friends who both like Oasis (other one isn't really a fan though but he likes some songs).

I work in promotions as a side gig and I can tell u Friday and Saturday are the absolute worst days to release events/etc The best days are Wed/Thurs according to multiple social media studies taken and personal experiences. The 3rd worst would be Mondays.

There isn't even an official website for it - or any mention of it on the website of the main UK distributors - as you say, very odd idea of how to successfully market a film.
