This trailer really does need to drop pronto-tonto. We know only too well there are plenty of people who, like the guy above, have never given Oasis a chance (for whatever reason that may be - though, let's be honest, it nearly always ends up being "the Gallagher's are dicks"), but maybe, some of them will go and see this film on a whim, or as a favour for a friend, and surprise themselves like this guy has. Now, I'm guessing us lot on here'll probably enjoy it whatever, but if the film can manage to turn new people onto the band's music, then it'll really have achieved something. But first, people need to know that the film is ACTUALLY A THING. Start ramming it down people's throats now, with the trailer and then shortened versions stuck on before YouTube videos, and down the side of webpages. With only a month left, it needs to get so people can't move for hearing about it. D'you know it doesn't even have a Wikipedia page yet? That's how well known this film is outside the Oasis fanbase. Christ, even Tony McCarroll has a Wikipedia page... Context helps - and perhaps some stuffy nosed metropolitan hipsters will realise where the spirit and melancholy that accompany much of Oasis at their peak derives from. |

My guess is they're waiting to promote this after pre-promotion for the Beatles movie dies down a bit.
They may even run the trailer in cinemas alongside the Beatles movie.

And now he's being screwed over. Whoever it is who's keeping this trailer back and not bothering to promote the film at all - if you're reading this, you can go and suck the Oasis fandom's collective syrupy stump.  |
