nice litle tune, no more no less. Sounds a bit like Oasis around 2005 Hey Lyla!

They needed something more than this throwaway for the first new music in 20 years.
This is the equivalent of Noel disappearing for 10-20 years and his return single is She Is Love.

Ian Brown's vocals sound decent and actually makes me feel happy when I listen that. And Squire, fucking hell, he can play guitar. Those riffs really make the song.

IMO any of Ian Brown's solo singles are much better than this. I would of liked something more darker, edgier and atmospheric, which I think is something Ian is good at capturing. To me this single just screams 'Hey the Stone Roses are back, and it's summer, yeeaaah!' Which is fine for your casual music listener, but not for me sadly.

I agree completely as many others said after all this time you'd expect a real stunner of a song instead of a pop tune but musically at least is catchy and squire really doesnt disappoint. You'd think they'd thought that through and looked after fans with a really good song but maybe this is the throw away catchy pop song for the summer.

Where's the YouTube vid? C'mon Roses, it's not 1994 now, bollocks to radio airplay!

Are people really going to associate this song with a good summer? LOL if summer was a room covered in feces and you only had one channel on the radio.

What tune! Great vibes, it sounds a bit like A Bell Will Ring. Definitely a Seahorses touch. And a bit 2005 Oasisish

I didn't expect much and this song is okay. So I'm satisfied. Though I don't know if I'll ever listen to it again

Well that was pretty underwhelming. Nothing more than a well padded out riff from Squire which won't hide the fact it is a poor tune.
Sounds like Beady Eye - and that's certainly not a compliment.
Fine for your Enemys, Pigeon Detectives and all that indie gutter shite but I expect so much better from the Stone Roses. I was expecting something mysterious and intriguing but it isn't good enough to be brutally honest.
Massively disappointing.

It's a catchy song. Nothing great. Kind of surreal to hear something new from those lads after all this time.

nice litle tune, no more no less. Sounds a bit like Oasis around 2005 Hey Lyla! Not heard the tune yet, so when I read your post I immediately thought of Ian Brown trying to belt out "Calling all the stars to fall..." like Liam (somewhat surprisingly was able to) on the Oasis recording.
