To me it is an ok song. I'm glad it wasn't on DBTT and it is the type of song I feared Noel would constantly write once solo. Glad that didn't happen! In the context of the songs on that album, I'd have liked it. Of course, it wouldn't have been my ideal scenario - that would have been a Death In Vegas album and some writing and production in the studio to fit their electronic/psychedelic vibes. But there's more chance of me becoming a billionaire tomorrow and hundreds of supermodels turning up at my doorstep and begging me to marry them than any ambition from Noel. If the AA sessions ever do get released (unlikely) and Noel goes krautrock/techno or whatever I fully expect to see a version of the apprentice for the forum with matt taking Alan Sugar's place and firing those of us who annoy him or can't get the track listing tasks right, all while being catered to by a bevy of the finest girls the Pirelli Calender has ever had to offer!

The problem with LTBL is that it wanted to much to sounds like SCYHO.
It should have sound like the original demo, It's a Crime.

Just listened to Let There Be Love again. Oh my God, it really is terrible. The chorus alone would drive me up the wall. It certainly leaves a lot to be desired....................... I'm not a fan of the pacing of the DBTT version at all. I loved the demo that leaked back in January 2000. I wish it was more in that vein. I feel like Noel and Sardy threw a ton of shit at the DBTT version. A lot going on but not making the song better in my humble opinion. Boy With The Blues should have ended DBTT. I think 'Can Y'See It Now??' should have ended the album.

And another thing about Let There Be Love, speed it up for christ sake. It is sooooooooooooooo slooooooooooow and plodding. The demo is much better. Yet again, Dave Sardy does his mandatory sprinkling of shit on a song. Have you listened to the demo? This is what I mean, Dave Sardy fucked the song up?

Hell of a lot of wasted money went on Dave Sardy.

It's what he's paid for but from Owen Morris in the Be Here Now sessions onwards Noel seems to have a track record of overruling people regarding production, tracklists, etc. I am definitely on record as being not a fan of Sardy as a producer, but I also think the problem lies with the chief as well regarding those sessions.

I agree too, if Noel was more ambitious we wouldn't see the likes of the fabled Jet producer Dave Sardy hired.

I think the DBTT demo of LTBL was fantastic. I like the album version but this second demo was perfect. Kind of gives you an idea of what it would sound like when done live.

A pretty little ditty that is very heartfelt and well, and a closer than lifts that heartfelt emotion to a soaring level.

Now you've got me wondering if I should try an edit of those two songs, though I'm terrible at audio editing.
