Sounds completely different from what I expected, even knowing to expect "psychedelic". But it sounds mega. If the consequences of no more Oasis are two albums from the lads in two months, I'll take it. First Noelio album I pre-order.

This coming from a guy who likes FWIW sounds almost like a compliment. Seen this a few times in this section today. Some people may actually prefer For What It's Worth to what they've heard on the trailer, that doesn't make them inferior to anyone else. Get off your high horse for fuck sake. I'll just remind you the original post: "The music on the trailer sounds shit"I am truly sorry that I offended you and the OP by not replying to this sublime piece of forum literature accordingly. I must admit that your post did it true justice. We must get off our high horses next time when we see such inspired words.

Yeah, I'm not the biggest fan of For What It's Worth, but the mediocrity of the chorus of It's A Beautiful World is out of reach. I know it's only a trailer but the weakness of the melodies puzzle me a bit.

Beautiful World definitely my least favourite of the three.
That's actually the one I find most interesting from the clip.
Really? I mean, I like the sound of it but the other two sound a lot more confident and fluid, if you know what I mean. Does anyone know what is being said in French?

So, when do we get a single? Did that actually get announced?

Beautiful World definitely my least favourite of the three. You heard the whole song? Surprisingly, I'm talking about the clips. I mean, take a minute to recover from that revelation if you wish, I know it's pretty shocking.

Based on the preview, Noel has finally done it and made a record that is "far out". I am very interested in hearing the rest.
I will say that the mix seems a bit low fi. I kept thinking my speakers were fucked up.

It's the verse I have an issue with.

I hope that this isn't what we will listen on the album.I don't like the production,In my opinion the volume on the first song (fort knox?) is too high and it sounds like random stuff. But it's just a preview (Again, sorry for my english :v)

I guess it's because it's the most unlike Noel. The first one is bombastic psychedelia and the third one is heavily influenced by New Order. It's a Beautiful World sounds like a mix of different things and it grooves.

The music on the trailer sounds shit This coming from a guy who likes FWIW sounds almost like a compliment. You're one of those who likes dishing it out, not so good at taking it though. As for the trailer, really like the music and sounds especially the first first 30 odd seconds, could be a really interesting record picking up from where The Right Stuff left off on the last one which has me interested. Weakest part so far are the vocals.

What has this got to do with For What It's Worth exactly? It's the famous "FWIW Defence", also known as "The Liam Gambit" - basically, it's a move in which you defend Noel's tunes by citing Liam's beige songs.

Really pleased about this, it was the only one of all the unreleased songs out there that interests me,as it's got a pu it'll be interesting to see what he's done with it in this cycle. The preview - I can only say I'm very happy, it sounds like exactly the kind of direction I wanted Noel to go. There's a good mix of styles there, the album should be very interesting indeed, a real sonic landscape to get stuck into. Fort Know has that bit of bombast we've been missing for a longtime.

Fort Knox made me tear up as I was listening to it walking to get coffee before work this morning. That song packs a PUNCH

Interesting trailer. I don’t know how to describe the music in it though.... It’s like more high flying birds than Noel Gallagher. Hahaha Now seriously, I’m very looking forward to this album.

The "harmonies" on the verse for It's A Beautiful World just sound horrible to me. I'm also not digging the production on these clips - vocals sounding muddy especially. I'd still love to hear a new single this week.

The second one the verse sounds like radiohead to me (in a very very good way), and then the chorus Coldplay (again good coldplay). Like it.

Is the singer of the sonic sensation that is For What It's Worth going to come out and call this beige? And before everyone jumps on me, he asks for it when he comes out with such nonsense. I'm sure Liam is of the 'don't give it out if you can't take it school of thought'. He should really shut up though, I think he could seriously embarrass himself now.
