I need it. I want it. I can't live without...everything NOW!
Christ sake, folks, just have a little patience. If I have to read one more post from someone saying they reckon the release date has been put back to next year (despite no evidence existing to support this claim), I swear to god...

Some interesting comments from Chris Moyles earlier. Said he had heard some of Noel's album, obviously wasn't allowed to say anything about the songs themselves, but he said that made more sense having heard Noel go on and on about why and how the album was made
He also said when they play out the interview "in a couple of weeks", it would be weird because "you won't be able to hear any of the tracks", saying that he would try and get to play the intro or something.

I care very little on Moyles musical opinions. If he likes something than that means I'll prob dislike it. He's no expert or trusted ear.

Don't get why people are annoyed...there hasn't been an album announced yet. He doesn't just owe us an album when we feel like it. As long as there's not an ice age between the album announcement and the album release, I'm fine.

The evidence seems to be gathering that this album has been pushed back from it's original Nov. 9 release date. If they aren't even doing the announcement until mid-to-late Sept, then there's no way they are releasing a whole album a month later. Let's just hope Noel idiot management didn't push back to March 2018 No Christmas sales for Noel then. All for just a pointless number one in the chart. Indeed, I understand him moving it forward/back a week or two but if they've moved it all the way to March their incompetence knows no bounds. March is a dead time, he'd get far more sales now. Or Noel has bottled it (pick your reason) and decided he doesn't want to be anywhere near Taylor swift/Liam or anyone releasing a long play album of music so he's going for march when he'll be all on his own. Wouldn't entirely surprise me. I hope this is all wrong, for one thing it seems strange to me the record is already out there with jouros if it won't be until march. But it is all rather disconcerting.

I listen to Radio X in the morning and Chris Moyles talked about it a bit today. He's heard it and just stopped short of saying he didn't like it. Was on about how it 'makes a lot of sense when you hear about how and why it was made'. Said words like 'interesting' and that he wasn't sure what to say. He did then say that he's found himself singing songs from it around the house and stuff, though. However it wasn't exactly a glowing review I am intrigued about the comment about WHY it was made... wonder if there's any back story, we might find out. If anyone is interested it was about 35 minutes into the show, if you want to hear what he has to say on 'listen again' Also says that the album will be out at 'some point this year' with his interview with the two of them out 'very soon' (he's mentioned this previously as being a couple of weeks' www.radiox.co.uk/manchester/radio/aod/?episodeId=efe0cedd-7335-4e04-af28-f43de1615790

For me that's great news, and we might finally get an album from Noel where he don't take the safe route and release and "experimental album"

If the album is done, people have listened to it, a music video has been recorded and Noel said it'd be released this year, I don't get why people think it'll come only next year. Just because he hasnt announced it 5 months prior?

I just heard the Chris Moyles comments (start at 38:41, by the way), and it doesn't really sound like he dislikes the tracks but that he didn't get them at first, which of course is music to my ears. It sounds like Noel is sitting on something different and maybe even a concept album as he once mentioned. Good times ahead.

I also got the impression that the tracks he heard weren't 'instant', for want of a better word,

The above comments are what I was getting at. I listened to it on the train to work, in a foul mood and perhaps misinterpreted it. I want Noel to be experimental - the tracks I listen most to from his solo stuff are 'The Right Stuff', 'Alone On The Rope' and 'Simple Game of Genius'... arguably his (only?) most experimental songs.
I just worry that it'll be too much too soon. We will see.

As I said earlier, TDOYAM was released in mid August and HFBs was released in early October. That's about a month and a half separation. He has plenty of time to release a single and album this year. I really don't get why people think it's been pushed back to next year.
I will say, the Moyles excerpts has me really excited. It looks like we might get something a tad different than the usual Noel album.

At most, it will be like what Weller did with 22 Dreams, Wake Up the Nation and Sonik Kicks - expand his usual songwriting with new sounds. Granted, that was enough for people to say he'd gone crazy, but that's unavoidable, I guess.

Its probably still coming out this year. I'm not worried...................................................................................................yet.

Noel has wanted to push his own boundaries without ever achieving it, with Oasis (DBTT / DIV) or solo (with those AA wankers)
Seems like he finally managed with Holmes, i gotta say i'm very intrigued. It's Noel so it wont be a total mess and should be melodic.
As long as he ditched that retro 80s sound from CY it should be good.
As for the release, if they are not conventionnal songs, why follow with a conventionnal release ?
I believe he's letting Liam have his moment and things are gonna speed up after october 6.

Noel needs something different IMO. He doesn't have the edge or charisma to lift a straight-forward record. Noel by numbers would bomb IMO.

Why are you even in this forum if you have that opinion. His solo work is fucking amazing and better than any of the other crap music out there. So, please, fuck off. I mean that.

I think at this point Noel's sitting there and thinking: Destroy the tapes or not destroy the tapes...
