I listen to Radio X in the morning and Chris Moyles talked about it a bit today. He's heard it and just stopped short of saying he didn't like it. Was on about how it 'makes a lot of sense when you hear about how and why it was made'. Said words like 'interesting' and that he wasn't sure what to say. He did then say that he's found himself singing songs from it around the house and stuff, though. However it wasn't exactly a glowing review I am intrigued about the comment about WHY it was made... wonder if there's any back story, we might find out. If anyone is interested it was about 35 minutes into the show, if you want to hear what he has to say on 'listen again' Also says that the album will be out at 'some point this year' with his interview with the two of them out 'very soon' (he's mentioned this previously as being a couple of weeks' www.radiox.co.uk/manchester/radio/aod/?episodeId=efe0cedd-7335-4e04-af28-f43de1615790from what i've seen of his interviews - that dude Moyles likes to be coy. i would take anything he says with a grain of salt.

As I said earlier, TDOYAM was released in mid August and HFBs was released in early October. That's about a month and a half separation. He has plenty of time to release a single and album this year. I really don't get why people think it's been pushed back to next year. I will say, the Moyles excerpts has me really excited. It looks like we might get something a tad different than the usual Noel album. Well, TDOYAM was first played (together with an album announcement) in July, two and a half months before the album. It's about time to announce something if he's sticking with November.

like his last two bombed? "bombed"? Why are you even in this forum if you have that opinion. His solo work is fucking amazing and better than any of the other crap music out there. So, please, fuck off. I mean that. Telling someone to fuck off over the Internet? Never seen anything like that before. Scary times...😞

I think at this point Noel's sitting there and thinking: Destroy the tapes or not destroy the tapes... He learned tips from his best buddy Bono - Beautiful World will have two or three emergency mixes! Dave Sardy is the backup!

This record is gonna be a weirdo. Guaranteed. I mean, come on, Noel Gallagher in the studio without any songs ? Creppy. No idea what it's gonna be like. Can be awesome, can be shit. Can't wait though.

Not implying anything at all, but Noel's Spotify page has made a subtle move today: they took down the Deluxe version of Chasing Yesterday. Something's definitely happening.

Moyles said that he will not be able to play new music with the interview. Why? Probably because Noel only talked about the songs, but didn't allow them to play any. If the album gets announced, and there's no music in the interview clip, then the interview is going to be super out of date when they do it play the interview. That's probably what he meant by it being awkward.

Normally, you have the interview and you play the first single.

I think that Moyles bit is quite encouraging. I can see why you could get a bit of a shock if you're expecting new Noel material in the style you're used to and get something very different. The fact that he ended up with the tunes on his brain makes it sound like it's still got good melodies, just perhaps with a different twist. Reslly looking forward to hearing Noel's process behind this album, I've always thought this would be the final part of his solo trilogy before getting back to Oasis and is willing to be a bit more 'out there', but that's just a hunch.

Even the worst Noel Gallagher song will have a catchy melody. The man's ear for a melody really is God like. The key is in the simplicity of it all. Heck, it must be a Gallagher thing. Liam knows about 8 chords, but when he really tries, his melodies are superb (Boy With The Blues, Songbird, Bold, Greedy Soul, Universal Gleam).

Agreed, they have that in them, probably the irish roots. By the way, you dont need more than 8 chords to create a good tune. One is sometimes enough. 3 most of the time.

My friend saw Noel out and about in London today. She said she was close enough to put her hand in his pocket. She took a photo of him (not with him) and he looks tinier than I remember him being. That is all.
