With Noel saying in the bbc q and a he wants 6 songs done by the end of January, I'm guessing the earliest for a new album release would be fall 2016 thinking optimistically but realistically spring 2017... I hope spring 2017. I think late 2017 may be more likely. Worst case scenario being 2018. He'll be 51 by then. 'Worst case scenario being 2018. He'll be 51 by then ' That sounds like a quote from some science fiction space travel movie. Noel better hurry up with this 3rd album planet cause if he won't, he may never get back to Earth on time.

Fuck Noel nearing fifty? I remember when he was talking about hitting 40 at the end of Lord Don't Slow Me Down. Shit I'm sure a lot of you remember when he was turning 30 around BHN. Time flies. If its as good or better than Chasing Yesterday I'll be happy. The fact that he is recording as he goes along is exciting since he's never worked like that before.

Yeah, it's hard seeing Noel and Liam age, as Oasis' philosophy exemplified and embodied youthful exuberance at its irresponsible and outrageous best. It just wouldn't seem right to hear a 60 year old Liam croak out Cigarettes and Alcohol, and his wheezing of Stay Young would be immersed in irony. Noel has aged well, to be fair. I've written before how much of a role model he's become - incredible when you think how he was in the coked-up Be Here Now days. Liam, though, needs to get his shit sorted - lose the weight, get a proper haircut, and figure out a scheme to reunite Oasis. Simples.

Liam, though, needs to get his shit sorted - lose the weight, get a proper haircut, and figure out a scheme to reunite Oasis. Simples. True, but that's part of what makes Oasis so special. 1994-1997 is magical. They had some pretty great moments later that I really love as well, but golden age Oasis has that youth spirit (embodied/personified by Liam's voice and attitude) to them along with masterfully well written rock/pop songs. Rock n' roll is a challenging genre to grow old in for sure. Jazz, blues, and electronic musicians tend to age gracefully, but rock stars can too. I think Noel has done really well and people like Niel Young, The Boss, Tweedy, and Weller have all aged wonderfully as rock n' rollers. Noel is definitely in this class. Liam needs to learn how to evolve musically and more importantly personally. The family thing is a real bummer, and Beady Eye in my honest opinion had literally no song that I could even remotely call great. Hope he'll get on it, he's still got an amazing voice. Do some guest spots with some choice artists and build hype for a project of your own?

Hopefully we'll get some Faster Than The Speed of Magic type release at the end of the CY cycle to tide us over. Live album maybe.

"I'm almost done with my third album" - Noel Gallagher, 2015 "I'm almost done with my third album" - Noel Gallagher, 2016 "I'm almost done with my third album" - Noel Gallagher, 2017 Yeah, this is mostly Noel's fault, because he's loquacious. This time of tardy behavior characterizes most of the music industry, especially with the creative process (songwriting, recording, mixing) because of a variety of reason inspiration/quality and scheduling.

Any chance for a live album? you know something, i never thought of that but that's not such a bad idea. maybe like a live album recorded at a gig with some studio sessions mixed in.

i'm really curious to see what direction he goes in with HFB's 3 but to be honest it's really going to be difficult to top chasing yesterday. the more i listen to it the more i enjoy it. songs like you know we can't go back, heat of the moment and while the song remains the same didn't really stand out to me at first, but now when i listen to them i say you know what those are really great tunes! and when you put the album on and just let it play from start to finish the tunes just keep coming one after the other and you want to keep on listening. i didn't really get that experience from the first album.
i think it's unfair to expect him to duplicate this amazing effort twice in a row, so i'm keeping my expectations for HFB's 3 low, for now.

I want to do is hear the Tesco story again. There better be a track on the next one he had to go to Morrisons for.

It should have a bit in it where Noel repeats "more reasons/Morrisons" like the the 'sound' bit at the end of Stop The Clocks. I might be thinking about it to much.

Haha you could be overthinking it, or you might be onto a new theory for Beady’s Here Now to dissect! The thing that would put me off with the idea is Jeremy Stacey drumming on that rhythm, four to the floor indeed!

As it happens, for those that don't know this was Beady’s Here Now on a recent television programme explaining his theories on where Oasis went wrong after Be Here Now (silent due to some strong language)

Keeping busy It's nice to see him straight in the studio between tours rather than his usual "I'm knackered, I need a year off to watch football and World War documentaries and to drink gallons of tea before I can even think about doing a days work again" chat. The lucky bastard.

The lucky bastard. Well he has to, it's all part of the grand plan. Three solo albums then back with the band, needs to get on with this so he can release it late 2016 or early 2017, tour through first half of 2017, Be Here Now reissue August 2017, 2018 off and then Oasis reunion in 2019 ten years after they split. It's all been planned this way from the beginning, Beady Eye didn't take off like they thought it would but Liam will have to sit tight and play up the feud until then to maximise the moolah when they announce their reunion. Or he's just bored being at home...
