Urgh, arguably worse the S*rdy. He's basically the film equivalent of Sardy. For all their faults, I can quite happily listen to the albums produced by Sardy. I have no desire to watch another one of Bruce's videos ever again though. Once was more than enough. "Hmmm how to best represent one of the coolest elder statesmen of rock? I know, roller girls!" WTF!

WTF! I would love to hear what Paul Weller had to say about that video. His "Apocalypse Yesterday" comment about the DYKWIM video was just perfect

Noel said he had to finish everything before Glastonbury. It means he has to shoot the video for the first single soon. Any news ? He's been resting in Italy last week, regaining his strength after the debauchery of his 50th birthday party; I reckon he's looking forward to shooting the video as soon as he musters enough energy in the eyes to look dangerous. The man literally looks like he's been on a fucking yoga/Pilates retreat and sucking on green juice with Sara. Dangerous he is not.

Wall of Glass and Ballad of the Mighty I are the only good post-Oasis videos.

Wall of Glass and Ballad of the Mighty I are the only good post-Oasis videos. That might be a stretch. Although... anything above terrible would be a vast improvement.

What we know so far : - everything done before Glastonbury (album cover, video, ...) - release date around November 9 - produced by David Holmes - uptempo - written in the studio - at least three instrumentals ?
something else ?

Is that really happening? 3 instrumentals. I must have missed that one.

The instrumental thing was a joke because he didn't want to give away the name of the songs.

Whenever Noel "completes" an album he usually goes on holiday. When he returns he always takes a long hard look and listen to his album. Hopefully this one is fully realized and not a re-do like his debut.

Hopefully this one is fully realized and not a re-do like his debut. Fair enough on Noel's part though, it's a great way to approach anything that you've created, step back, go away from it for a bit and when you come back, if you still think it's good then it probably is, or will at least be a fair reflection of what you consider good. Even more logical knowing as we do that Noel has put out albums in the past that a short time afterwards he hasn't been entirely happy with.

I'm putting my money on Friday, July 7th for the first single, and maybe a couple of days before that for the album announcement. The Joshua Tree support tour starts on July 8th, that's some great free publicity Not that I want to give any false hope... but July 8th is just two weeks away! I still think we might hear something around that date.

I'm still hoping the first single will drop on Friday the 7th.

It's high time Noel released a new single, playing no new material at the U2 gigs is gonna look very stale.

I bet he waits until he's stopped touring with U2 and then after his holiday (to recover) until he releases anything new.
