Whenever Noel "completes" an album he usually goes on holiday. When he returns he always takes a long hard look and listen to his album. Hopefully this one is fully realized and not a re-do like his debut. Dave Sardy's just booked a flight and first class ticket to London. |

Something tells me he's going to wait till August to announce the album and drop a new track. On the one hand, it would be a good idea to release a new song just before the U2 tour, but on the other hand, I can imagine he will want to do the usual press conference, interviews and all that. So he could use the August-September break for that. I don't know, I would love to hear something new next week, but I can't see it happening somehow.

It's not going to get delayed. The album is set to be released in November and the record company has probably already started all the work they need to do. It's out of Noel's hands by now.

He's totally fine at the moment. I hate when artists announce an album 5-6 months early. What is the point of that? I tend to gravitate towards the out in 5 weeks method. Last time it was a joke. Noel going on that show, announcing his album and new single........but it comes out 5 months from now. Gimme a break.  |

Compared to the HFB #1 timeline, we're still far from a first single. The album came out October 17th, TDOYAM was first played in late July and released as a single in August. HFB #3 will be released almost a full month later, so anything before mid/late August would be a surprise imo.
I absolutely don't see the U2 gigs changing anything there. Noel doesn't have to build hype or establish himself as a solo artist, and even if he does play new stuff, he could do the same thing as Liam who has been playing songs that won't be released for another few months.

I'm stil thinking if I gonna get a ticket for one of U2's Amsterdam Arena dates in 3 weeks time just to see Noel. Many people are selling tickets for both dates, but I don't want to pay more than 100 Euro for the band which I'm not even a fan of. If I go, I'll only see Noel's set and leave the stadium before U2 comes on stage. On the other hand, I can get tickets for Slowdive and Ride for less than this amount of money. |
