Just to note, the "11" you all see on it is an issue number of copies made for this disc. It's not an indication of how many tracks are on the disc. Asked the Reverend Makers me self on Twitter a few hours ago.

I know everyone is rightfully losing their heads to the influx of Liam news. But thought people may like to see this. 'Daisy' needs to learn how to employ a fucking apostrophe.

i wonder if this will come out before Liam's album now. It seems like Noel could be 1-2 months behind Liam. Noel's gotta rev up his hype engine and old school promotion first.

But that's it. I would've asked, but nah.

9th November is a Thursday, most stuff comes out of a Friday these days, so it's more likely to be the 10th - in the UK at least.

So I'm guessing that we'll probably be getting a single from Noel around September.
That time of the year would make perfect sense for Noel. He'd be coming off the U2 tour in August, and wouldn't be back on tour until October (I believe). Interestingly, with Liam's album coming out in October (depending on when in October), you would think that he'd want to release a single in late September going into his album.

Actually I believe that we might get the first single in July to coincide with the Joshua Tree Tour support slots. Here's what I wrote in this very thread last month, I still think it's a very likely scenario: Announcement and first single in July, second single in September and album out in November is my guess. A flawless pre-internet, medieval release strategy...

I mean, they would still need to create a music video, get artwork finished for the single, and do pre-release interviews to coincide with it. This would be happening while Noel would be rehearsing for the U2 gigs. Tbh, I don't see them doing all of that over the course of a month. A September single release makes far more sense imo.

This the first time Noel is going to release an album and we don't know any possible song titles, haven't heard any demos nor soundchecks. That alone makes it exciting. Also, Noel seems confident that it's really good.

Of course, but my point was that, for the previous two albums, we had already heard some of the music long in advance. For NGHFB, we had the Oasis demos of Record Machine and Stop the Clocks, plus the soundcheck versions of IIHAG and EOTR and A Simple Game of Genius. Lock All The Doors had been there for years before Chasing Yesterday, and we had heard The Dying of the Light, Freaky Teeth and bits from Do The Damage and The Mexican (even though we couldn't realise). We had heard about the AA stuff and knew of the existence of "Mighty I". Assuming that Noel kept his rule of not bringing material to the studio, the canvas is fully blank for the first time. We have no idea what we're going to get.

I wonder if we will hear new versions of She Must Be One of Us, Oh Lord, God Help Us All, Come on It's Alright, Just Let It Come Down over Me or Bye Bye My Family (Don't Stop the Happenin')

She Must Be One Of Us is a bad Dylan parody and Oh Toad is just awful. Come On Outside should be kept for an Oasis rarities compilation, it's not that amazing.

I wouldn't trust Noel about that "last Friday" bit. I bet he mastered it at Sterling Sound while he was in NYC last month. Also, he's already sent a few copies of the record out to friends and such, so I think that everything was pretty much finished a few weeks ago. They might be working on the artwork/music video/extra stuff right now, and they've still got 40 days until the first U2 gig. There's still plenty of time in my opinion, especially if we're only getting a low-profile album announcement like the one we had for Chasing Yesterday (the music video for ITHOTM was released a couple of weeks later if I'm not mistaken, and the physical version nearly a month after the first airplay). Of course I could be totally wrong, everything is complete speculation at this point

I'm putting my money on Friday, July 7th for the first single, and maybe a couple of days before that for the album announcement. The Joshua Tree support tour starts on July 8th, that's some great free publicity
