It's 11, yes I'd guess it's the number of tracks. X Or maybe other versions have been sent to various people already? You'd figure the producer would get a copy, if there's someone else doing the mixing (the mixing engineer), the mastering engineer, a few people within the label, and possibly close friends: Weller and Marr. So, it's a possibility that it's the 11th disc that's been sent out? Yes, I prefer your theory and that there are 20 tracks on the disc x |

Maybe Noel is passing the CD around for possible remixes. Wouldn't surprise me. A massive circle of people get promo copies. But if it was someone who would be remixing it, they wouldn't be getting a physical promo copy. They'd be getting the recording stems of each track from each song. That would be done through a private server set up. Edit: and they most likely wouldn't be getting the whole album. Just the songs they were contracted to do. |

This isn't a "promo" that would be distributed to a radio station or a music reviewer at Q or NME for example. Those usually come in cover art with a seal and number.
The CD-r which has been sent to Reverend and the Makers is an in house label distribution disc... basically Noel is sending it to his mates to let them hear it.
I've only ever seen one NG in house album promo and that was the "Honeybus" CD-r, the rest have always been regular album promos.

All I want him to do- is to get with the fucking times. Release the best song from the albums as singles. 1st song surprise drop, to download etc etc. Would be number 1. Then it would get him more attention. Not that he is bothered. But IM FUCKING BOTHERED!! 😀
