I think ITHOTM has like 2 mill views on YouTube, so I don't think it's a clear distinction for reception. The original video put out with just audio has around 2 million views, but then on top of that, the music video released later has another 3.6 million from an upload by Noisey, and 2.3 million from NoelGallagherVevo. So that's around 8 million, then. Just like The Death of You and Me... It'll take Holy Mountain a quite some time to make it to those numbers, I should imagine. Ahhh correct. Thanks for doing the leg work on that.

When was Wellers last number 1 album? (Genuine question I am a fan of his) Sonic Kicks was #1 in 2012. He’s had 3 #1’s in the last 15 years along with a couple #2’s and a #3.

Well, as much as you might hate it, sound quality is hardly an anecdotal thing. Some people still care about the recording quality, but if you're happy with fast-food production, it's OK. And I'm not being condescending now, not at all. BUT... Try listening to music on a proper valve amplifier. Play WOG first (shit production) and then don't look far and play, say, "Three Ring Circus" (good production). I'm sure you will hear a big difference.

Really liking Fort Knox. Sounds like a clean version of Fuckin' In The Bushes. Really nice vocal melodies bits that I'm guessing that they are from other songs in the record. And the bass is fucking great. Solid opener

I know we're just 2 songs on (and a couple of seconds of another 2), but this album already feels very special to me. It's not really a case of being good/bad, it's more about feeling it in its entirety. The sound, the sense of hope, this thing no more than a few artists and bands can bring to our daily routines. It's the same with SOTSOG and BE for me. They're not particularly great albums and I recognize that, but they've helped me so much getting through life...
Plus, Fort Knox is an absolute monster. Bring Who Built The Moon?!!!

I cant enjoy these 2 tracks. I have tried, believe me.
The first time in 20 years that I'm not going to buy an album from Noel /oasis.

I have to say, even those I really like both, Fort Knox into Holy Mountain does seem a strange transition.

I have to say, even those I really like both, Fort Knox into Holy Mountain does seem a strange transition. I felt the same way. I tried to line up the two as well as possible and they didn't really click together imo. However, judging by the intro noise in Holy Mountain and the way Fort Knox cuts off rather suddenly, there could be a transition? Still the styles don't gel well, so far.

Listening to them as one, doesn't feel like much of a transition to me. Strange, 'cos Riverman / In the Heat of the Moment flowed perfectly.

I feel like we're missing a bit between Fort Knox and Holy Mountain. The guitar scratch at the beginning of the latter still seems like it should be from Fort Knox, but it isn't.

A shame, because it would've been awesome if as you heard the last fade of strings, all of a sudden that brass punched you in the face!

Actually, on giving it another listen, I think there's definitely a chance it'll transition well when the album comes out. It's different with single songs - even on a playlist - on spotify. For example, on HC, The Hindu Times fades perfectly into Force Of Nature, but if you put them as separate songs on a playlist, there's an annoying pause between them.

This is when I wish Spotify would have an iTunes-like feature where you could see the whole album but everything not released is grayed out. Then when Fort Knox and Holy Mountain are available it's the real album and not single versions with the (assumed) transition between them and hopefully on fade out on the end of HM into Keep on Reaching.
