In all honesty, think this would be cool to keep serious, but it's obviously open to some humor as well considering the topic is such an easy target. Obviously, the one being spouted often is Noel hoarding Oasis songs intentionally for his later solo career. I personally think that's absolutely nonsense as Noel would never compromise Oasis like that (further evidence: Falling Down - revered by many on this forum - was selected for Dig Out Your Soul. Case closed). What other conspiracy theories are out there? And what are your thoughts about any of them? I know there's tons. Let's have some fun.

Noel knew that was gonna leave Oasis in Paris. The Heathen Chemistry cover is made in Paris en Noel is looking back while LAG is looking forward..

It was not Lee Harvey Oswald who shot JFK from the grassy knoll, but Liam Gallagher. Seriously though, there must have been a conspiracy between Linkin Park and LAG to ensure that HC was the shittiest album in the Oasis canon. I refuse to believe that Noel's judgement alone could have created that turd.

That Noel was actually walking past Waitrose, not Tesco, when he thought of the verse to Lock All The Doors.

That the reason Noel chose not to edit Be Here Now for the reissue was not because 'it's somebody's favourite album' but because an edited version would be empirical evidence of him having made mistakes with the original.

Noel knew that was gonna leave Oasis in Paris. The Heathen Chemistry cover is made in Paris en Noel is looking back while LAG is looking forward.. And he wrote Don't Look Back In Anger in Paris... Holy shit! I think we've got something here! Damon Albarn heard Be Here Now and drove a White Fiat Uno in anger through Paris on the night of the 31st August 1997 (too soon?) and thus derailed Oasis career

That ...Record Machine didn't get put on Dig Out Your Soul because Liam went to get married. Escapes me now where that one came from...

Thought he said it about Record Machine as well? Either way, it's utter nonsense. Months on end spent in the studio, from mid-to-late 2007 to early 2008, and you decide to shelve a song deemed good enough to be the lead single because the singer wasn't in for a week? No way José, I just don't believe that.
As to the real reason why that tune and Record Machine (and the good DGSS and HFB songs) didn't get on, I cannot say. Noughties Oasis continued to be a bamboozling disappointment right until the last

Noughties Oasis continued to be a bamboozling disappointment right until the last Noel came up with the laziest excuse ever. He should have put his balls on the line by just being honest and saying: "I couldn't be arsed in making the album as good as possible because it was only meant to be a half hearted excuse to go on tour so I could buy myself a new house" or words to that effect.

I heard the whole oasis back story is a complete fabrication they were actually a manufacturered band from the Isle of Sheppy by a mastermind called Alan Magee who would later change his name to Simon Cowell. They do not play any instruments or write music and the only truth is Noel and Liam are real brothers but their true names are Tarquin and Quentin the third Cunningham. How stupid I feel now for being duped Alan Mcgee ain't Malcom Mclaren

Alan Mcgee ain't Malcom Mclaren Alan Mcgee ain't really Alan Mcgee Malcolm McLaren was Alan McGee until 1992 when he got bored and quit, leaving a shaven headed non sunglasses wearing Glaswegian to step in for the remainder of the charade.
