You Know We Can't Go Back or Dying of the Light if it's the "next single."
Best case: behind the scenes of making the album ~30 minutes long
Worst case: The Mexican over a tour montage

It wasn't meant to be very soon?

It wasn't meant to be very soon? Noel's management has always had a slightly bizarre idea of the meaning of the phrase "very soon".

He's now missed the official cut-off for 'very soon'. Anything announced from this point onwards can only be classed as 'soon' or worse.

I'm still waiting for that BHN reissue which was going to be released in 2014. Judging by that, by the phrase "very soon" they probably mean "in the next two months or so"...

It's probably just live footage. Seems odd for his management to release a video for a new song/single in that low key manner.

If it is a fourth single, and that single isn't The Dying of the Light (I'm not counting the promo that hmv did before the album came out), then this world won't make sense to me anymore. That tune deserves to be an official single and played as widely as possible - it'll draw new fans in from everywhere. (That said, 'surprise' news from official Noel sources is usually anything but in my experience, as we'll usually have heard it already from other places. Probably an advert for the acoustic shows in November or something lol.) Will it though? To me I really like the song. I feared it was going to be butchered like "If I Had A Gun". Overall I think TDOTL is too slow and old school ballad to make any real impact on the charts, Internet, TV or radio. It's not that kind of tune. Like a Wonderwall for instance when you just knew first time hearing it it would be played everywhere around the globe for 12-15 months. Been a long fucking time since a Gallagher enjoyed that type of success. I think the next single if there should be one, really needs to be fast and energetic. I see what you're saying, but I do still think that this song is great enough to make waves beyond the existing fans - in the fashion of if I had a gun when it was trending worldwide on twitter. it's good enough hopefully to bypass the standard requirements for 'hit singles'. For me this should have replaced ballad of mighty I - another slow tune, drums aside lol, and lock all the doors needed to be single number four. that's another one I can't imagine NOT being a single! (Although to be fair the fact that he's dropped dying of the light from the setlist for the festivals may suggest he feels the same way as you when it comes to its wider appeal - although I respectfully disagree )

I'm half expecting a "live" video of Lock All the Doors or You Know We Can't Go Back over some arena / festival footage, something to promote for the festival season.
I can't see it being for a single although there is a space for something until the remix ep shows up in the autumn.

Apparently the video release has been canceled this morning. The singer can't be arsed, also he hated making it.
