Gotta say this is the first time I can say I'm not very excited to go see a Noel or Oasis gig. Imo the setlists sucks, WTSRTS has still not been added and TBOTMI has been dropped for.... Whatever?
Going to DC thursday night is going to be pretty much a chore. If my date was not looking forward to going so much, I'd skip the gig entirely.
Don't get me wrong I know the concert will be ok but if the setlist stays the same (which it will) i will never remember it as good or epic.
I guess after seeing Oasis 17 times through the years and Noel twice (on his own) I have been spoiled by better sets. It just kills me to think due to the setlist I'm not excited about this concert and could really care less about going.

Give your ticket to your girlfriend and tell her that she can take anyone else who would love to see Noel Gallagher.

Give your ticket to your girlfriend and tell her that she can take anyone else who would love to see Noel Gallagher. This is what I would suggest too. You might spoil your girlfriend's experience with your unexcitement and that'd be unfair towards her.

I'm going Thursday and I've seen Noel and Oasis a bunch of times and I'm still excited. Yeah it sucks that he dropped Ballad of the Mighty I but I won't let that ruin it for me. Hopefully you can find a way to enjoy it.

What's the best time to get down there so I could possibly be front row or really close to the stage?

Pretty sure it will be awesome when you see him live. I'm not very excited about the current setlist either, but it's still the Chief, so I'd go without a second thought.

You're a big fan which makes your expectations different. Its sounds like your date isn't so she'll probably love it.

This guy is DC to a T. Noel would eviscerate yer bullshit whine here. You bought tickets. Super fan 17 times should know setlist is static.
I'm pretty sure you'll have a good time. I do agree it will be a chore with the dash for seats. Those old rows/seats suck for dancing during the show.
Are we all gonna rush in at 645pm, and then not feel free to mingle/move w/o throwing down a brought-along coat?
I'm sooooo excited. With the BE tour not making it here, it's been awhile since I seem a Gallagher.

Maybe It'll be good having low expectations. What exactly is your qualm with the setlist? I think it's alright, you'll get to hear The Masterplan, Don't Look Back in Anger and Champagne Supernova. It's not the best setlist ever, but there's some great stuff on it, it's better than I was expecting, it's pretty good. I'm not that in love with the new album, I guess If I'd seen him before I'd probably feel the same way you do. But I've never seen him, if I'd had the money I'd have definitely got tickets. You Know We Can't Go Back will be great. Hopefully you'll enjoy it more than you're expecting. Hope you have a good time

It just kills me to think due to the setlist I'm not excited about this concert and could really care less about going. I know, right? After seeing arguably the greatest band in the world countless times and a legendary songwriter solo a handful of times, what you don't need is another chore. You've got some nagging chick that just wants to spend time with you and have a night out with your favorite artist because she is taking an interest in your interests. That fucking sucks! All those whiney bitches in Nepal or Haiti or whatever will never understand as they struggle for fresh water or against the elements as they've lost their homes how much you have to go through for a girl that probably adores you. Take this one on the chin for the rest of us, brother. Proud of you. The struggle is real. Fucking setlist...

I m glad this time Noel gets all the negative energy. Threads like this , noel can' t sing etc... that' s what Beady Eye used to get Just don' t go man. I' d go even If he was about to play the same song 10 times in a row. Just have a few pints and look at the chicks I mean I've seen Oasis many times and not every gig was superb, sometimes I just got too drunk sometimes I was not up for it after waiting half a day for them (festivals) but always it was worth of going
