Mighty I is a tune. And people (myself included) went crazy when he played it in Milan.

Ballad Of The Mighty I is the best song on the album.

2 fantastic singles. it was all about making new fans by showing them another side of him. he knows the hardcore will listen anyway
he'd rather make new fans and hope the fans to follow him than trying to please the O(ld)asis* fans. I do fucking respect that.
*and that's a proper term

C'mon he loves Mighty I,he said it's one of the best tunes he's ever written and when ITHOTM was played for the first time he said the second single (Mighty I) was much better On the other hand he's not that fond of ITHOTM And they're both well recieved live, especially ITHOTM.what are you talking about?

What the fuck are you guys talking about? He has referred to Mighty I as " a much better song than the first single" and "best song on the abum" multiple times. Also, they're not well received live? Bullshit. Most people love the live versions of those two. Especially In The Heat Of The Moment sounds awesome live and everyone sings along. Having been to a gig myself in March, it surprised me how well known by the crowd they were already, so early.

I wonder if in a year's time he'll still include it in his personal best-of, or whether he'll deem it not as good as Force Of Nature and She Is Love. I hope he'll still play it on subsequent tours, although I'm not holding my breath.

It surprises me that he hasn't played either of those yet, if he thinks they're so good and underrated.

Anyway where's the guy who opened the thread gone? I was just thinking the same thing. How was the gig, drevil21050? Was it exciting?

Sorry guys..
The gig was good but not the best. When i say that, I just mean normal gigs are a scale of 1-10 a Noel gig exceeds that scale and goes 10-20. I would have to say it was an 11 or 12.
Was still disappointed he axed Ballad Of The Mighty I. He also was not very talkative to the crowd.
After the set a ton of us went out behind the building hoping to meet Noel. As soon as I saw how many people were there I rolled. After speaking to Noel when I met him in Philly I knew too many people were there for him to come out. Noel is fine if just a few people are there but once there is more than 10 no chance.
My date loved the concert of course. Personally i preferred the last tour better.
Now I will say The Mexican is awesome live! Was not expecting it even though everyone told me it was. Go ahead, ill say it, you all were right.

I was just disappointed because I thought the new album was great and he did not play many songs off of it.
I did like Do The Damage opening the set though. Thats another one like The Mexican that goes to a different level live.

All in all i sang, drank and danced and had a good time. Outside of Noel, no one else can give a better concert.
Half the crowd stands there motionless the whole time though, Ill never get that.
