Can't wait, its gonna be great I reckon!
I imagine it will probably have a late 2015 release, I'd find it unlikely that they'll wait long, certainly not "Noel" long anyway. Hell you never know, we might even have it by the summer!

Very excited - if they even come close to reaching the quality of the first two albums it's gonna be superb. Can't wait, its gonna be great I reckon! I imagine it will probably have a late 2015 release, I'd find it unlikely that they'll wait long, certainly not "Noel" long anyway. Hell you never know, we might even have it by the summer! I hope so as well. They're usually pretty fast with writing and recording, getting the album out in late summer seems realistic.

Really excited for this. The first album was such am amazing, exciting release. It's just so shambolic and rickety and fast that you feel it will all come apart at any minute. The second album is less amazing but still pretty good and has some terrific tracks. 'Can't Stand Me Now' still gives me goosebumps after over 10 years.

First single Gunga Gin due next month apparently. It's in a tiny little feature in the corner of a page in the print edition of the NME but can't find a mention of it online. It says it's 'prepped' for release anyway. I cannot wait. More excited than for the album even. I'm cautiously optimistic for the new album, I hope it's amazing, but realistically it's probably going to be a mixed bag, but I would love one more classic libertines song, to stand up there with Can't stand Me Now and Don't Look Back into the Sun and play at encores. I never ever for a second dreamed I'd get a libertines song for myself and my own generation. They're the band that got me into rock and roll, I'm ridiculously excited

There's a low-res live version of Gunga Gin from last night. Sort of wish I'd waited to hear the single properly but ah well. Here ya go if you're interested:

And if you fancy it here's pete's demo of the Milkman's Horse, a song NME says is planned to be included. One thing to bear in mind, the version on the album has had a different chorus written for it by Carl, but this should give you an idea of the verses:

That's what I like about Doherty, his music is almost never boring - somewhat terrible sometimes, but always interesting. Only listened to a bit of the new one, sounds good enough. The verses sound a lot like something Babyshambles would do, but we'd be stupid to expect a single as good as their existing ones which are all top notch.
