Great song, poor single choice. It's gonna fall faster than a lead Zeppelin. agreed. one of my favorite songs on the new record but not going to get any new followers from it.

Going by the artwork, I think it'll be bright red vinyl. Got email from the vinyl store (who I think are the same Noels webstore) as and says it'll be ltd edition black so guessing transparent black?

Hmm. Limited edition black vinyl sounds like a huge fucking con. It'll probably be smokey translucent grey or something.

If YKWCGB is released as a single it'll be the worst since She Is Love (even though that was a double A side).

Anyway the single is going to fall just like the other because the album is already out. If I Had a Gun, Dream On and Everybody's on the Run docet.

YKWCGB is by a mile the weakest and most generic track on the album and the only track I PERSONALLY skip.
That's my opinion.

Does this mean that Beckham will be in the video? I can see him in a James Bond themed video for this song.

But what chart exactly? Nowhere near as chart friendly as the previous singles and they didn't do great. I don't really see the point of singles for the sake of it.

I hope Alone On The Rope and a new song will release as a bside We can dream mate for alone on the rope Ordered to go with the other coloured vinyls, best artwork as well which is good. Still, even now after the dust has settled on the two albums AOTR is the best thing That Noel has done and I don't understand his reluctance to talk about it. All mood and atmosphere, quality beyond belief for me and heart felt lyrics. I see posts about YKWCGB and I cringe. That's so far removed from the direction Noel should be heading is untrue. AOTR is!!!

YKWCGB sounds like a Hillary Duff song or something.

YNWCNB is a very good song, but i think it is like a hamburguer tasty fast food, whereas AOTR or TDOTL are caviar, extremely delicious.
Both kind of song are necessary in the album, YNWCNB and TDOTL complement and it strengthen CY. Although I would like to eat caviar, obviously...
(ALONE ON THE ROPE IN A B-SIDE PLEASE!!! A NEW THREAD COULD BE NECESSARY FOR THAT)

And... nowadays the charts are dead. Noel released singles only for his fans. Riverman no have to like to my little cousin, Noel want that we (the fans) enjoy (and buy) the singles. It's easy.

Alone On The Rope was already released as an Amazon bonus. Not an album track or B-side, but it has been released. He has played it live as well. So I doubt it will be released again as a B-side.

YKWCGB is a nice song but it's nowhere near the best song on the album, definitely in the bottom 3 for me. But I can see why it could be a future single, it's the most radio friendly song on the album, probably even more so than ITHOTM.

"The Riverman" is a great track and i hope to make it (we ll see...), i would be glad to see a track like this in the charts ot to get airplay
LATD (upbeat stadium "anthem") and especially TDOTL are the obvious, imo, singles

Excellent track but very mellow and restrained for a radio tune in my opinion. I feel it'll have a similar chart run as "If I Had A Gun". Which is no compliment at all. On the flip side, "You Know We Can't Go Back" isn't reinventing the wheel but I does have that poppy, commercial vibe to it. Has that quality that lends itselfs to potentially getting some limited radio exposure. "Lock All The Doors" also shares that trait.

You Know We Can't Go Back is probably the most generic sounding song on the album. Not that that's a slight on the song because I like it very much. It's because of this that it would be a good single. Generic seems to sell. Combined with a fast, upbeat tempo and a catchy melody and he should be onto a winner. Provided the promotion is done correctly.
