Have finally listened to the album. Only took me a month! Ha.
Good album, really like Let It Happen, Yes I'm Changing, Eventually, The Less I Know The Better, The Moment and Cause I'm A Man. Past Life is a bit stupid, shame Disciples and Nangs are so short, and the rest is alright but a bit..forgettable actually, after a first listen. I don't worry about that, because I had the same with While The Song.. and YKWCGB on Chasing Yesterday earlier, and the former is one of my favourites now.
I was afraid I would like the songs I had heard already the most, and besides The Moment, unfortunately this is the case. I will definitely give it another few listens, and I hope to catch them whenever they will come here.

I finally got to see Tame Impala tonight at Radio City Music Hall. It was 5-6 years in the making. Something would always pop up and make me not available for the shows in NYC. Almost happened this time. Flying out to Toronto tomorrow morning. Could have easily have missed this gig!  They opened with a 2 minute instrumental and as it faded out Kevin goes, "Ok....here we go....." and launched into a behemoth live version of "Let It Happen". It sounded just as good as it does on record. Very loud and the crowd went nuts like it's a dance party. I know Currents leans heavy on the synthesizer but the tracks translated very well to electric guitars. Makes you wonder why Kevin messes around with them so much. He can make similar sounds on the guitar. Other highlights for me included: Mind Mischief, Elephant (mid song they went into a classic Nintendo vibes for 15 seconds and then continued normally),Feels Like We Only Go Backwards, Cause I'm A Man, and the finale Nothing That Has Happened So Far Has Been Anything We Could Control.  Another cool thing at the show was to being the encore, Kevin said we were in for a special treat. The drummer played 2-3 minutes of drum solos and a "kick-drum orchestra". Was awesome to see and hear. Kevin has one of the coolest guitars in rock at the moment. Rickenbacker's kick ass!  |

One of the best albums I listened in 2015 (don't know how many I listened, maybe 80).
Let It Happen is a gem of course, but I really love "The Less I Know...", which reminds me a girl, and especially the last lines ("Come on Superman..."). And the bassline is amazing...
