Blur are announcing a new album today and what seems like another gig at Hyde Park in London for those interested. Really surprised by this, came out of nowhere.

Nothing surprises me with Damon Albarn, he shits out a classic album every year. He's a genius. The album needs to be of a top quality as Blur are one of the few bands out there with a perfect run of albums (I think The Great Escape is a very good album)but looking forward to this. Blur are one of the best bands ever.

I like the odd song of theirs here and there, could never listen to a whole album though. Just not that good IMO

I don't like them either and that's nothing to do with the feud they had with Oasis. I've never liked Damon's voice. There's a handful of songs that I like by them that all came a bit later, after the peak of Britpop. Song 2, Tender, Beetlebum and a couple more. The thing about Damon is that people who churn out albums with such frequency usually have a couple of "off" albums - but this really doesn't seem to be the case here, I'm hoping this album will be another great one.

I've never liked Blur because of Albarn's voice on studio. Now I like his solo work, but not a lot Blur except Country House, Song 2 and Tender

Can't stand Damon's voice so never a real blur fan, I like The Universal though and some Gorillaz tunes. He strikes me as a jack of all trades, master of none.
