Can't get my head around this news. The new song is alright but it's one of those that might sound better in the context of the album, but I'm trying to figure out what the new album has in store - and what is with the Chinese motifs for this album? The Chinese motifs are because they recorded this in Hong Kong or China on their last tour. They had a week off and did it then. It was thought that it would not be released due to Damon not finishing it, but I guess that was just a cover.

Wow, I truly didn't see that coming. I thought Gorillaz was Damon's next thing, but well...you never know with this guy. As some of you pointed out, he seemingly does not rest. Good for us - or the ones of us who appreciate his great work, like me. I watched the interview with Zane Lowe and they all look very happy, nice to see So...2015 new Noel, new Blur. 2016 new Gorillaz. Me gusta!

They reunited with Stephen Street who came in and finished it, so I wonder how much was recorded out with Hong Kong.

Noel, Liam it's time to take a lesson... Dunno, I feel like Noel's solo albums are much better than Damon's, and that much of Damon's output in the last 20 years was mediocre. Sure, he has his brillant moments (quite a lot), but a lot of that productivity has to do with having lower standards.

after a few listen, i really like it. Starting to kick in.
sounds like a bside from The Great Escape or Blur, which were stunning. Blur always had some great bsides, from Parklife to 13.

I really like it. I have always wonder how a new blur album would sound. This is like something between "blur" and "the great escape", it sounds a little bit like "london loves" and the guitar reminds me of "swamp song". So, is like a whole mix of their career. I can't wait for the album

I'd rather Noel wrote a song called “Put Your Balls on the Line,” but that’s just me.

Wow...that's brillantly accurate I still think Parklife and MLIR are close to perfect (brit-)pop albums. But imagine if Go Out was released as the new BDI/HFB single - people on here would go mad.

Blur is hard hard to get into, they have their own specific style, whereas Oasis was always more attractive to a "common audience" or casual listeners.
I love Damon hooks and melodies, but i can understand people not liking them or his voice.

Sorry if that wasn't clear
