I don't know what your problem is, but I'm not interested...ruin the forum for yourself if you want. God bless. Not ruining ...but you post a serious comment. I noticed how quiet you were when I was attacked , by HFP ...you then say we are acting like little girls ......yet you my friend acted like the biggest girl ever during olesdudnick affair ......you practically hijacked every thread and made it a war thanks You're acting like a dick to pretty much everyone....just like olesiaidiot, who I see came back yesterday. Again, don't know why, maybe something in your personal life, I don't know. But, I'm done with this. God bless.

The average age of Beady Eye from the time between Different Gear Still Speeding coming out and the time they broke up: 41
Who writes classics at 41? They did no better or worse than I expected them to. The truth is that all of them were already kinda past it as songwriters. Having said that, I wouldn't say Noel is a great songwriter at this stage either, and I think his days of writing classics are sadly behind him.

In my opinion the last "classic" song Noel wrote was "The Importance of Being Idle" back in 2005. I also firmly believe that since 2007, Noel has been writing better songs than he did between 1999 and 2005.

It's hard to write classics when you have so many classics for them to be compared to. If he wrote Supersonic now, some of you would slam it for having stupid lyrics and being derivative.

Bums me out reading about Liam at the moment. Especially hits hard when even Noel says he's at the bottom of the barrel at the moment.
He isn't ready to put out a record yet i don't think. he needs to ditch that hag of a girlfriend he has and kick her to the curb before she gets pregnant, buck up, and focus on his one great gift - his vocal chords.
Until then, he's a lost cause and will be broke in a couple of years haha.

It's also way too early to call anything from HFB a classic, but I don't think there's a reason not to consider TDOYAM or Broken Arrow as good as anything Oasis released post-BHN. If those aren't good enough to be classics, it's just because writing Live Forever, Supersonic and DLBIA puts the bar really fucking high.

These things would be a massive distraction from his music and would over shadow it's merits. He needs to wait and take care of himself and family. Like I said yesterday, It's sad and I really feel for everyone involved. It's a fucking mess. Liam's gonna owe Nicole and Liza a lot of money. Not my business but they are the facts.

Noel said when he heard Flick of the Finger on the radio he thought "this is more like it" but he said it's like one big bridge that doesn't go anywhere.

I am admittedly biased, but I think the HFB material stands up to anything he's ever done.

It seems to me that some of the best music has been formulated at wit's end. Cheers.

Then release it.

Noel said when he heard Flick of the Finger on the radio he thought "this is more like it" but he said it's like one big bridge that doesn't go anywhere. There's a real skill to crafting a good song. It's not enough to write a good melody or lyrics, you have to build them into something more. Unfortunately, none of the guys in Beady Eye were good at that, while Noel was the master. He can/could turn even the dullest melody into a great song by simply crafting it into one.

Paul Weller is the voice of reason. Good guy. Yeah, fuck an Oasis reunion. That idea seems so boring to me. I LOVE what Noel has been doing as a solo artist. Oasis between 2000 and 2008 kept letting me down with uneven productions. I want to move forwards, not backwards.

However, I hope it will take quite a few years so that Noel can exploit his new wave of creativity and freedom.

You're acting like a dick to pretty much everyone....just like olesiaidiot, who I see came back yesterday. Again, don't know why, maybe something in your personal life, I don't know. But, I'm done with this. God bless. I think he quit again for like the 8th time in 3 days. He's been starting fights with everyone lately. No idea what's going on with him. This might sound silly but... are we sure he is actually kalas? Maybe webmaster could tell us if he's been hacked or something.

Thanks, great interview as usual. I have to admit, the idea of taking Flick of the Finger and letting Noel add a chorus...would be quite something. Still, that's not what would happen in a reunion. I'm very happy with Noel's new stuff and I'm sure Liam will come back eventually as well.

Unfortunately, none of the guys in Beady Eye were good at that, while Noel was the master. He can/could turn even the dullest melody into a great song by simply crafting it into one. Which songs are you referring to? The most obvious demonstration is Columbia vs Flick of the Finger. Both have just three chords, simple lyrics and melodies and repetitive drum loops yet one towers above the other. FOTF is like the first verse of Columbia repeated over and over. It's good, but it doesn't really develop into a great song. Noel's genius is adding the "I can't tell you..." falsetto part, immediately proceeded by a simple but now iconic guitar riff, which you can immediately identify as Columbia. I would also put Lyla in this category. Honestly, it isn't a really interesting song in terms of the melody, guitar chords, lyrics etc, but the outcome is great. The idea of FOTF was brilliant the outcome was good, but it's not a well crafted song.
