Didn't like the previous one, The Beach and The Sea. I once saw them when they supported Arctic Monkeys in 2007 (I think) and I enjoyed their gig, but totally forgot about them. I've only recently discovered them (thanks to this forum) and love their music. This album is turning out to be a big change from their previous stuff though. Definitely worth digging into.

Daughter's new single is really good! Devastating, as ever. I can't wait for the new album.

Ouroboros' new one is devastatingly brilliant, The sleep of reason shirt I got at Decapitated will be worn more now.

What do you think of the Swim Deep album?
It's pretty cool.

New Deerhunter record Fading Frontier is yet another typically very good album Deerhunter record, but its definitely their most accessible album.
If you didn't dig them before, or if you haven't listened to them, give this album a go. They've steadily grown on me throughout the years, and when their good their one of the best bands of the past 10 years. Cox's solo stuff is really good as well.

This really isn't much more than speculation, but word is that Alex Turner and Miles Kane are giving The Last Shadow Puppets their second lease of life this year. A fan of the band met their producer/drummer James Ford at Primavera Sound in Barcelona a couple of days ago and was apparently told that this year will bring a new LSP album. The guy seems pretty legit too, he's met AM on a couple of occasions as well as Miles and various other big names in music. Alex and Miles have been photographed together a fair bit recently, and when rumours emerged of Alex and James Ford being seen around a studio last month, some jumped to a conclusion that they'd record the Bond theme but, if the sighting did indeed occur, could well have been something else. I was a big fan of the debut, the songs would be great in their own right but the cinematic production and labyrinthine verses showed a new dimension to what Alex was capable of producing. Nothing confirmed, but fingers very much crossed. 5 months later, this has now become much more real. www.nme.com/news/arctic-monkeys/88932

Ludovico Einaudi is releasing a new album on October 16th. His music is probably not what most of people around here listen to, but he's such a talented artist and you should definitely check him out if you've never heard any of his works. This was released yesterday. A solid album, Einaudi never disappoints! Here's Petricor, the opening track (Petricor is actually the name given by scientist to the scent of summer rain). Hauntingly beautiful

Man Made is a band lead by Nile Marr, Johnny Marr's son, and they're releasing an EP on Friday. I've been following them for a couple of years since their first demos on Soundcloud. It looks like Nile has inherited some talent from his dad

It looks like Nile has inherited some talent from his dad I followed him when he was playing as Kid 4077 on My Space. He was 15 or 16 back then. You could clearly hear his Dad's influence in his guitar play.

New Grimes song, "Flesh, Without Blood". It's like 1985 never ended.
