Y'all should check out FIDLAR, especially if you like some punk rock. Their second album Too is coming out this week. Its pretty fuckin rock n' roll. Their debut is one of the rowdiest rock n' roll albums in recent memory. A great party record, really solid songwriting, and great hooks on it. This one is definitely a bit more mature. it's cliche to say that, but its way better than I expected. I thought they might have a sophomore slump because their debut just had a young magic to it. It was basically an album about partying and doing way too many drugs. The lead singer was an addict and now he is getting clrean. Too has weirder flavors on it and the songwriting hasn't lost its hooky nature.
Here's the lead single for the new album (they parody Oasis and a bunch of artists music videos). Not my favorite song but gives you a flavor of the new album.
Here's my favorite from the album.

I'm really loving Foals' album.
The psychedelic band "Wand" will be releasing its 3rd album at the end of the september. Well, the 3rd album in a year!!
First single, not heavy like the last album

Thoughts on new Maiden: Whatever Keith Rihards says about metal, Iron Maiden are glad they're not it. Still hate Speed of Light but the rest are excellent. 7/10

I know this is for albums you're looking forward to, but I've been really enjoying The Libertines 'Anthems For Doomed Youth' and The View's 'Ropewalk'.
And really didn't expect either to be as good as they were. Anthems was actually a reunion album worth the band's legacy, and one of my albums of the year. After all these years have allowed their (relatively sparse) discography to grow in stature, new material had a lot of weight on it, but I feel like the band really progressed whilst retaining a lot of what made them special in the first place, an especially impressive feat when it would have been so easy to stagnate and make an album of their (exceptional) offcuts or write 10 uninspired ramshackle tunes grasping for the significance of their earlier work. And I was nervous about Ropewalk, due to a lack of the obvious singles that have defined that band's work up to this point, but it's a really great album and a really experimental move after quite a safe (but great) album.

Ludovico Einaudi is releasing a new album on October 16th. His music is probably not what most of people around here listen to, but he's such a talented artist and you should definitely check him out if you've never heard any of his works.

Didn't like the previous one, The Beach and The Sea. I once saw them when they supported Arctic Monkeys in 2007 (I think) and I enjoyed their gig, but totally forgot about them.
