Can anyone please tell me roughly how many copies CY has sold please? Trawled back a few pages to try and find out, but should really be working. If anyone could tell me I'd really appreciate it

I agree the war is well over and we should have moved on ages ago. Blur have some truly great songs.
However what i would say is, from experience, Blur fans seems much more hostile and still hold a grudge towards Oasis, much more than vise versa. Same applied for the band members. Alex James was saying some really nasty shit about Oasis well up until about 2006 as i remember and he was even constantly digging at them while in the studio as they played an Oasis performance from the roundhouse on the DOYS tour.

Noel deserves it, but if Mumford beats him I won't be mad. They're bringing REAL music back to the charts.

Noel played for millions of people at Jimmy Fallon. He's not even #199 in the US. They didn't like Lock all the doors? They can't get it. You gotta roll with it.

He played a great song live, he killed it and they don't get it. But it's okay.

Chances are most people didn't even catch Noel's performance.

Tbh I got Blur's album on release day and even as a reasonably big fan of them, I can feel myself reaching for the eject button in my car more and more with each passing day. I saw Liam said that Lonesome Street is the best song of the year. wat?

Maybe after that performance some people will buy the records and bring him into the top 100 again but I don't think it'll happen

They probably switched the channel when Noel was on. They don't give a crap about Noel in US. I doubt channels were changed because of Noel, but the name Noel Gallagher is not a big one here in the states. The name Oasis is big, everyone here knows Wonderwall, but the Gallaghers themselves were never celebrities here. Truth be told, there isn't a whole lot of big rock music out at the moment. Mumford and Sons is a big group but not on anything more than an "extremely successful indie" level. Jack White might have two No 1 albums here, but that's mainly due to his gigantic dedicated fan base. Mainstream success for rock is almost not here at all at the moment. Noel sells well in other countries because he's an established veteran. In America, he is not. He has no better shot at a hit single here than any new band.
