Man, I'm feeling a bit depressed over this. I just can't seem to fathom we won't get another Beady Eye album.

Right, so which piece of fruit did you throw this time, Liam?

Finally, they were good at performing other peoples tunes, thats all. Great cover band. I'm not discounting the good tunes they did come up with, and I'm not joking when I say this: But Sons of the Stage was the best thing they did, in my opinion. It had a real Oasis vibe to it, and I wish Oasis not only covered it, but wish they actually wrote it, too. It's perhaps my favorite Oasis-related cover, after Cum On Feel the Noize (which is insanely epic, it must be noted). Sadly their best song was a cover but what a TUNE!

Wondering if Gem and Noel will do something together soon hint hint
Hope not. Noel needs to stay away from anything associated with mediocrity. I'm sorry, but Gem and Andy just do not cut the mustard. The pair of them were stuck in the 1970s and the dad rock was embarrassing. So uncool. The fact that even a forward thinking producer like Dave Sitek couldn't drag them from their 1960s/70s rut suggested a serious lack of talent. They're both really nice guys but they didn't offer anything to Oasis. They may be more competent musicians than Bonehead and Guigsy, but that didn't stop live performances declining massively from the 90s high point. I think this split is a good thing. The band were well past their sell by date and didn't get with the times. Whoa. We normally agree, but not here. Gem is far from mediocre. He's as genuine and effortlessly cool as one can get. And he's a solid guitar player, too - much better than the current bloke in NGHFB who managed to fuck up even the LBL guitar solo..... Gem is a real asset to Noel.

Yeah I have no idea why people want Oasis to reunite so badly. Uneven albums and greatest hits tours all the time? That got stale real fast and felt uninspired. I was lucky enough to catch Oasis 11 times, after gig 6 or 7, it was always the same going thru the motions act. Granted I had fun but I like bands to grow and push themselves. You were lucky enough to watch Oasis live. That's why you're never gonna get it. Oasis was the band that changed my life and i was never too lucky ,as you was, to watch them at least one fucking time (not 11 ). I want to hear live all the songs that changed a generation and i don't really care if it's a step backward for Noel's career or whatever. I want both brothers to have successful musical projects outside Oasis but in the future (near or distant) i want them to get back together. With or without a new album. I don't care. I never got to see the Beatles, the White Stripes, Nirvana, or Led Zepplin live. Seeing Oasis live is not gonna be the same as seeing them in their prime anyway. I only got to see them live twice, the BHN and HC tours, all you missed on the last few tours are four guys standing in the same place on stage singing the same songs over and over again.

I just noticed someone had typed "Andy & Bell" and someone else had typed "Gem & Archer" instead of Andy & Gem. Funny.

I was lucky enough to see Oasis live 3 times....the first during the HC tour, then the DBTT tour and lastly the DOYS tour...I can honestly say that I agree with the BIB because, the last tour especially was like that...just 4 blokes looking bored out their minds...that said, I also agree with the original post, my girlfriend has NOT seen them live so I would love a reunion just so she can see them like I did too

Yeah i fell really sorry for those people who went there and had a great time... I know Oasis wasn´t that great live in 2009 or whenever after BHN but even at their peak you only had "4 guys standing in the same place on stage singing the same songs over and over again"...

Wow this is kinda of shocking, but I welcome it. Honestly I found both Beady Eye albums to be pretty terrible. I think all of them can do more creative things with their time.

I wish Liam, Gem, Andy and Chris best of the luck whatever they're gonna do next.
I've seen your tender side when I met you Liam. Carry on what you ever started. Love you. Take care and good luck.
PS: No Oasis reunion please and I don't want Gem joins Noel's HFB, especially now.

What's a good line from a Beady Eye song that is fitting to this sad day? Or maybe something a little inspirational?

My seven year old daughter will be distraught. They are her first musical love; she likes them more than Oasis.

Is it just me, or is this like the real end of Oasis? Cos lets face it, Beady Eye were Oasis without Noel. I feel a bit sadder now than I did when Noel left.
