Always wanted to do a edit of Start Anew. No better time than now really. Short and sweet, less plodding. A whole minute cut. I always hated that initial guitar part since it seemed so weak and played by a three year old.

Ye ok not as legendary as Live Forever, Supersonic and DLBIA. But definitely as legendary as Lyla, SCYHO, GLIO, Let There Be Love etc. Perhaps legendary isn't the right term but credit and appeal is alot lower because it was BE.
Same goes for The Roller, Four Letter Word... I could go on.

Think about it, if FOTF had been released by Oasis on one of the later albums, it would of been epic and hailed as the best thing ever I love Noel genius, still got the rock in him not just a ploddy midldle aged songwriter . Change of direction, orchestra, big build up etc.
Anyway who cares it didn't happen. I just think BE didn't get a look in no matter how good or shit they were cos most people think Liam's a cock and that goes against them

FOTF is a decent song but Noel would never write anything like it (not his style) and only foolish fanboys would praise it as genius just because it's under the Oasis banner. You seem to think the only thing holding Beady Eye back was their name and reputation but sadly the music was just not all there. If anything Beady Eye got more recognition than they deserved because of the Oasis connection not less.

the bad management argument doesn't jive well with me....their management also has Arcade Fire and their latest album was promoted really well, and their ex-manager won a Manager of the Year award. either management looked at the album and didn't think it was worth promoting much, or, and what I think actually happened, Liam decided not to promote the album much because he'd end up giving up half the profits to an ex-wife and a side chick. whatever the case, my neighbor's house blew up the other day....they've got Geraldo over at the house right now excavating the basement looking for the Ark of the Covenant. God bless. I agree. Unless the manager could write decent songs, that is.... Anything I wanted was a phone call away. Free cars. The keys to a dozen hideout flats all over the city. I bet twenty, thirty grand over a weekend and then I'd either blow the winnings in a week or go to the sharks to pay back the bookies. Didn't matter. It didn't mean anything. When I was broke, I'd go out and rob some more. We ran everything. We paid off cops. We paid off lawyers. We paid off judges. Everybody had their hands out. Everything was for the taking. And now it's all over. And that's the hardest part. Today everything is different; there's no action... have to wait around like everyone else. Can't even get decent food - right after I got here, I ordered some spaghetti with marinara sauce, and I got egg noodles and ketchup. I'm an average nobody... get to live the rest of my life like a schnook. God bless.

Not too many ppl would praise u publicly and too many ppl would slag u off just because u re Liam. They did get some more attentiontion but were labeled as Oasis w/o Noel, If they were a new band life would have been easier for them. Noel is loved by press and Liam the opposite. And I reckon FOTF would be good enough to be a decent opener for Oasis If BE was an Oasis album.

Is there one single performance of Axl without emotions? Mr. Brownstone? Well, he danced to (not with ) Mr. Brownstone every time onstage.

And I reckon FOTF would be good enough to be a decent opener for Oasis If BE was an Oasis album. They were labeled that way because that's EXACTLY what they were. Oasis minus Noel. If one guy leaves the band, that doesn't magically make them a NEW band. They are the old band minus the guy that left.
And other bands would KILL for the publicity that would receive as Oasis minus Noel. They AUTOMATICALLY got a listen that new bands wouldn't get. The door was wide open for them. They closed it on themselves by having crap songs and a frontman who couldn't keep himself out of the headlines.

Being in the headlines isn't a bad thing that goes against a rock n roll bad!!! We're not talking about a recent X factor winner

If you're in the papers because you can't handle your business, or it gets to the point where you have to cancel stuff, then it's not good.

Can't remember to be honest. I don't think a few cancelled live shows fucked up Beady Eye's success though

Did they only plan to tour the album until then? I could be wrong, but it seemed like all promotion stopped then around the time things started heating up for Liam in New York.
