There are literally a TON of bells and whistles I need to get use to. My last laptop was a Fall 2007 MacBook Pro. That was a Jetta compared to this Mercedes. Congrats. Any reason you didn't get the Air instead? Thanks bro. I almost got the Air back in March when my 2007 MacBook Pro's keyboard started dying on me. Then Apple announced the new Macbook so I decided to get the most to date model. The prices are very similar too, might as well go with newest technology. I got 8 years out of my old laptop, a long time. I'm gonna make this one last just as long. The retina screen is also a treat. There is still a lot of learning to do but it'll be a fun ride.

The screen is supposed to be really nice. The trackpad on that thing is crazy. When you push down the trackpad fools you into thinking you are clicking on it when in actuality it is clicking you.

( and the airs bezel is so ugly) There's lots of nay Sayers (I'm not joking who'd of thought it on a Internet forum!) I'd say say as an average user for Internet, basics etc the new mac book's pro's (:/ ) far out weigh the cons.. Hope you you enjoy it Lennon it's a thing of beauty.!!

First time using the new USB-C, I literally transfered about 5,000 songs from an external hard drive to my new MacBook in under 5 minutes. That use to take a solid hour plus on my old MacBook Pro. Granted it was 8 years old.

I don't understand the obsession with lowercase letters on the keyboard... But cool, I'll be able to kill my document picker workflow since the iCloud Drive app is now included. Will be turning off predictive touch.

The problem is most of them arent native apps. Having to pull the information and waiting for it to load from the phone makes the user experience less appealing. Im sure the next model will have gps built in but they definitely wont have cellular capabilities. Ive been using one since friday morning and its a nice product. The Native app SDK is coming this year so that should eliviate any minor niggles. Tbh 95% of the times apps are pretty instant but that 5% they aren't is a little annoying. Its a great product, obv generation 2 will be much better. Thats the same as any brand new product, the natures of tech / moore's law etc. A month and half later, how are you liking it?

It's a luxury device (like iPad i.e. we all have laptops or iPhones that can do everything iPad can, but iPad makes it easier when i certain situations but not needed). Its really nice having notifications come through on wrist and only having to spend a split second to read them, feels so un intrusive (i have a lot coming through) so really is a worth it just for that for me. the battery is excellent tbh apple massively under estimated so no problem at all (tho native apps :/ might kill it) the heart rate and 'activity' stuff is really nice Once native apps come think itll become lot bigger (like native apps on apple tv would launch that higher too) idk, defo an accessory/ 'sister device?' and not life changing but don't think anyone ever thought it would be but i would and do recommend it to people

Six tips that if you don't know you should use a flip phone. I only use my phone for listening to music, taking pics of Tom Brady chalk tributes and sext messaging. Very minimal, but, essential. Thanks.

The only tip people need to know is how to manage their notifications. You can choose what to include in Notification Center, how many recent items to include, whether or not to show it on the lock screen, and whether you want badges or not, and you can combine or single out any of these options. All under Settings > Notifications. "Notification Hell" doesn't exist.

Oh man, memories blasting out Dig Out Your Soul on my iPhone 2G, watching bootlegs and interviews on the YouTube app. And you know, checking email, writing notes, jailbreaking to add a video app, and all that shit.
The only thing that bothered me at the time was that there wasn't something like RealPlayer which I liked on my Pocket PC.

This and the Steve Ballmer quotes are my favorite. I wonder what this guy thinks of the size of smart phones now.

8.4 is out now. Not touching Apple Music (you can hide it ), but the changes to the music app are... Interesting.

Anyone who approved the new Clippers uniforms is suspect. ----- Question: why won't some songs sync to my iPhone when I try to upload them from my iTunes library? It seems to happen more when my phone memory is almost full... Thanks.
