They want to do everything on it. History will repeat itself, just like with the smartphone.

whats RAM ? and do i have it on my ipad 2 ? do i need it ? RAM stands for Random Access Memory, and you do have it on your iPad. It's basically where the computer stores temporary files that the cpu can access the most quickly. The more RAM you have, then the faster a computer can perform.

Only the CPU of the iPad can store the files there. If you want to completely clear the RAM then you have to restart/shutdown the iPad.

iPad 2, lol. I have the 1st gen Mini with the 2's internals. It's alright until you use Safari which never works most of the time now. Not holding my breath for the 8.4 update to make that any better.

I'm still on 8.1 and seeing as there isn't a decent jailbreak option for 8.3 I'm not going to upgrade any time in the near future.

Oh, I love jailbreaking, been doing it since the original iPhone, but iOS 8 has these little issues here and there that piling tweaks on it just cripples it more. Right now I have this problem where emergency alerts I received a whole month ago, keep popping back in Notification Center. Probably will reset it before reinstalling the update.

The only thing I truly miss is quick compose texts in bite sms. Primarily, I like to have a command line on my phone, usually for SSH purposes. It's quite handy to have access to the file system as well. There are some other nifty tweaks, like the keyboard changing its case as you switch from upper to lowercase, rather than the keys being un uppercase all the time. Another useful tweak is the ability to close all open applications at the same time by swiping down in the multitask screen rather than swiping up.

They are finally changing the keyboard in 9 to show upper and lower case. I also miss changing the icons and system fonts but looking back on some of the ones I used to use, they look ugly now. When I had this one set up I loved it. Now it looks so dated

There are literally a TON of bells and whistles I need to get use to. My last laptop was a Fall 2007 MacBook Pro. That was a Jetta compared to this Mercedes.
